Nuwara Eliya, nestled at the foot of a mountain, was made into a summer retreat by the British in the early 1800s and much of its colonial character still remains. Dickoya, Bandarawela, Haputale and Ella are all quaint hill country towns and villages where life is peaceful and unhurried. Those who have travelled this uphill journey by train will confirm that it is one of the most enchanting train journeys in the world.

01 DAY – AIRPORT / NEGOMBO ( This day depend on your arrival if early arrival we go to Habarana )

Negombo – A characteristic fishing town 20min from the International airport, Negombo has a fascinating and picturesque beach front. The town has several buildings dating back to the Dutch and Portuguese Colonial days. Also client may enjoy some nice sea foods lobsters, crabs,prawns and etc.

02 DAY - NEGOMBO / HABARANA

After breakfast leave for Habarana (04 hrs drive) through lush tropical country side en route visit Pinnawala elephant orphnange (01 hrs spend) this orphanage is situated in Rambukkana northwest of the town in Kegalla. It was established 1975 by the Sri Lanka wildlife department, this 24 acres large elephant orphanage is a also breeding for elephants the first elephant baby was born in 1984 and it has the greatest herd of elephants in captivity in the world, Between 1975 and 2012, 67 animals were born here check into hotel at Habarana lunch at hotel and refresh at hotel afternoon Elephant ride in Habarana (01 – 01 ½ hrs spend) Thereafter proceed to Hotel afternoon Jeep safari in Minneriya National Park the 8890 hectares of MINNERIYA NATIONAL PARK is an ideal eco tourism location in Sri Lanka. The park consists of mixed evergreen forest and scrub areas and is home to Sri Lanka’s favorites such as sambar deer, leopards and elephants. (25min from Habarana)

03 DAY - HABARANA / SIGIRIYA / POLONNARUWA / HABARANA

After breakfast leave for Sigiriya (30min drive) climb Sigiriya rock fortress The Lion Rock Citadel, Sigiriya was the Royal Citadel of King Kasayapa who ruled in The 05 th Century A.D. Moats,Terrace Gardens, water Gardens, Fountain Garden Boulder Gardens & Stone Stairways and the beautiful ancient frescos of heavenly maidens in a pocket of the rock, on the top of rock are ruins of the Palace & two intact man – made pools of water Thereafter proceed to Polonnaruwa (01 ½ hrs drive) The ancient city of Polonnaruwa rose to fame as the new capita after decline of Anuradhapura (11 th – 13 th Century) Lunch at local restaurant in Polonnaruwa after lunch sightseeing in Polonnaruwa Its period of greatness was from tenth of 12 th Centuries AD. The entire landscape of the region is punctuated by huge man – made reservoirs, veritable inland seas, the most famous of which is the Prakrama Samudra or the Sea of Parakrama, larger in size than the Colombo harbor. 04 DAY - HABARANA / DAMBULLA / KANDY

After breakfast leave for Kandy (02 hrs drive) en route visit Dambulla cave Temple (01 – 02 hrs

spend) Dambulla is a magnificent rock temple consists of 5 caves, on a hill 340 m high, containing 150

serene statues of Buddha, numerous carvings and murals. The fascinating and memorable site was

founded by King Valagambahu during the 1st century BC in gratitude for the shelter he found in the caves during an invasion by marauding Dravidians from southern India Thereafter proceed to Spice Garden Matale which grows spices and herbs used for Sri Lankan cuisine and medication. Spices of Sri Lanka attracted the early sea-faring merchants who made the long voyages to purchase this precious merchandise Reach to Kandy and lunch at Local restaurant in Kandy afternoon sightseeing in Kandy visit Upper Lake drive, stopping at market square and walk around bazaars and markets visit  Anglican Cathedral and Hindu Temple visit sacred Tooth relic Temple where enshrined the Buddha’s Tooth relic, this temple built for its protection and veneration within the Royal Palace The Tooth relic is encased in seven caskets one kept inside the other outermost of which has the shape of a Stupa adorned with a large number of or gold ornaments.

05 DAY - KANDY / NUWARA ELIYA

After breakfast proceed to Peradeniya botanical Garden (01 – 02 hrs spend) were originally conceived in 1371 as the queens pleasure garden, later becoming the residence of a Kandyan  king the 60 hector park was were converted into a botanical garden with extensive well kept lawns, pavilions an orchid house with an outstanding collection, an Octagon conservatory fernery bank of bamboo and numerous flower bed with cannas, croton and colorful bougainvilleas. Giant water lily and papyrus reeds complement unusual exotic specimen trees.Thereafter leave for Nuwara Eliya (02 hrs drive) the famous hill station 6128 Feet above from Sea level in a splendid landscape. The city pretends to be particularly well kept and neat and the always green grass gives to the locality an aspect of ‘’ colonial British Style ” Nuwara eliya was built entirely during the 19 th Century and its architecture mimics that of an English Country town, with red brick walls, country house like hill club and mock – Tudor half timbering. En route lunch at Ramboda fall hotel you could enjoy the magnificent view of Ramboda falls while having lunch, also you may visit Tea Factory and estate  City tour in Colonial city: Drive through the town of Nuwara Eliya observing the well maintained buildings of colonial Architecture, busy market, Lake Gregory, golf course, race course, vegetable cultivation, tea plantation

Day 6   Ella / Yala National Park.

After breakfast, descend from cool hills to the jungles Yala. En route visit Rawana Waterfalls, a sight to behold with a scenic backdrop of mountains and valleys. It is featured in the Rawana mythology, where Sita is said to have bathed from this waterfall while she was in captivity,

On arrival in Yala, check in at the hotel. In the afternoon commence a jeep safari in the Yala National Park by private jeep accompanied by a tracker. Yala National park one of Sri Lanka's premier eco tourist Destinations and is renowned for its variety of wildlife notably its many elephants. It is also home to the spotted deer, sambar, wild buffalo, sloth bear, jackal, mongoose and crocodiles. The peacock is easily the most famous of the birds in this park. Yala has a high concentration of Leopards although seeing these nocturnal carnivores still requires some luck.
