The Legend of Kung Fu is a spectacular, high energy show staged at the Red Theatre every night at 7:30pm. The show chronicles a young boy’s journey in becoming a Kung Fu master. Along the path to enlightenment, he has to overcome human temptations, for example falling in love. There are incredible displays of using mind power to overcome physical limitations, including balancing on swords and snapping poles in half on heads. There are many other reasons the audience enjoys the show though – the choreography is elegant and combines kung fu with ballet and more modern dance elements. The costumes are vibrant and colourful, and the special effects, which include a starlit ceiling and dry ice (be prepared for some of it to come your way if you’re in the front row) enhance an already spectacular show.

Tickets cost 180 / 280 / 380 or 680 yuan. You can’t book online or prepay, however, you can call 010 6714 2473 (ticket hotline) and reserve tickets. A screen overhead provides a short summary of each scene in English, so it is relatively easy to follow the plot of the story.

This is absolutely the best show in Beijing, when you visit Beijing ,do come to visit the show, it's not only a show to demonstrate Kungfu, but a profound story to tell wisdom, hardwork and enlightment.
