It takes about three hours' driving to Lijiang and transfer to the hotel. On the way to Lijiang, visit the Bai Traditional House in Xizhou and Zhoucheng, famous for tie dyeing. Visit the Square Street of the Lijiang Old Town. Lijiang Old Town was originally built in the later period of 13th Century. It has an elevation of 2400 meters (about 1.5 miles) and covers an area of 939 acres. The population of the old town is over 25,000, most of which are Naxi people. What is interesting is that Lijiang Old Town is the only Chinese historical and cultural town built without city wall.

Drive to Shangri-La and transfer to the hotel. On the way to Shangri-La, visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge, the First Bend of the Yangtze River and the Stone Drum Town. the Tiger Leaping Gorge lies in the upper reaches of the Golden Sand River. Its total length is 18 kilometers (11.2 miles), with the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the east and the Haba Snow Mountain in the west. The vertical height of the gorge is 3,790 meters (12,434 feet), thus it is the deepest gorge of the world. Since the narrowest part is only 30 meters (98.4 feet) wide, the tiger could just leap from a reef to the other side of the river. So it gained the name Tiger Leaping Gorge.

The Bitahai Lake is in the shape of trumpet shell, encircled by mountains. Covering an area of 148 acres, the lake is 40-meter (131 feet) deep and has an altitude of 3504 meters (11,496 feet). The plants around the lake are various, including spruces, pinares, oaks, white birches and azaleas.        
Shudu Lake - As one of the biggest lakes of Shangri-la County, the plants around the lake are lush and the wild animals are various, such as the musk deer, golden cats, samburs, Tibetan eared pheasants, bears and panthers.

Take flight to Kunming. Visit the Golden Temple, the Daguan Park and the Flowers and Birds Market. Check in at the hotel
Golden Temple - was built in the Ming Dynasty. The Mingfeng Hill was also named Xiangdu Hill. Since then, the scenic area around the temple has become a well-known Taoist attraction of Yunnan.  
Daguan Park - The Daguan Park in Kunming is located on the bank of the Dianchi Lake and faces the Western Hills which are on the other side of the lake. It is said that the original site of the Daguan Park was a small temple built by a monk for giving Buddhist lessons. Several years later, the governor of Yunnan Province Wang Jiwen was attracted by the beautiful scenery here and decided to construct a park by adding halls, pavilions, rockeries and porches. The most notable attraction in the park is the Daguan Pavilion.

Day 1. Kunming to Dali

pick up from Kunming airport or kunming hotel ,drive 5 hours to Dali,  upon the arrival,   we will check in Dali hotel,  visit 3 pagoda park.  & Dali old town, & foreiner 's street . Climb up to the tower to have a bird's view of  Dali old town.

Day 2.  Dali to Shaxi

Leave Dali at in the morning,   we will firstly visit xizhou old town,  where we will visit a local morning market. You will see the real daily life of minorities in this area.  after lunch explore shibaoshan and buddhism grotto in the mountain.    then drive to  shaxi ,  check in the hotel, visit the beautiful and quiet shaxi village. you will enjoy your free time in the evening.

Day 3. shaxi to lijiang

We will explore villages in shaxi area by bicycle in the morning,  visit the old house of Bai people. then drive to lijiang, walk around in lijiang old town,  square market.

Day 4.  Lijiang Tour

Today, we will visit Wenhai village,  where you can see many different wild flowers, such are prirose,  Azaleas, etc.   Drive to baisha village,Baisha village was the former capital of Naxi kingdom,   Visit local Naxi family . If you like to drink coffee, you will find a nice coffee shop Near the main street of baisha.   then enjoy Naxi ochestra at night.

Day 5. Lijiang-Liming tortoise' mountain

Meet you from lijiang hotel lobby and drive to shigu--it is called stone drum in english  . visit the first bend of Yangtze river, then visit the mounument of red army and the village. visit the Iron chain bridge,   Drive to liming, then we will limb to the top of mountain, on the top ,we can see tortoise's back- like  sandy rock.  there are thousands of them.  it's the most famous dangxia landform in south china.  If the weather is good , you can see stunning sunset in the valley.

Day 6.  liming to Shangrila

After breakfast, we will have relaxing walk in liming valley, visit Lusu village,  You can see lisu ethnic group go to church on Sunday dressing the traditional clothing  visitting the local church. lisu people were converted into christian by french missionary in 19 century,even nowadays, christianity is still a popular religion in the village.

Then drive to tiger leaping gorge, on the way to tiger leaping gorge, you can see snow-capped peak of jade dragon snow mountain. Tiger leaping gorge is 3900m deep, just between jade dragon snow mountain and Haba snow mountain.  it’s one of the deepest gorge in the world . a perfect place for a leisure walk . Then we drive  to Shangrila.

Day 7. Shangrila Tour

After breakfast ,we will visit songzanling monastery,  then drive to Napa lake,  Hiking at Napa Hai lake . visit Dukezong old town and the the Turtle’s hill where you can see the biggest Tibetan prayer wheel in the world. 

If you like a long hiking,  There is another long hiking trail though the mountain & Tibetan villages for 4 hours.

Day 8. Finish the tour in Yunnan

Drive to Deqing airport, finish the tour in beautiful Yunnan province , fly to your next destination.

If have time, you could tour Yunnan Ethnic Village Park and Yunnan Minorities Museum. Welcoming dinner with Crossing Bridge Rice Noodle. Kunming D D2 After breakfast, drive to visit Stone Forest, the geological Karst wonder with the colorful local Sani People living around. And visit Jiuxiang Caves, the geological Karst underground. Kunming B+L+D D3 Take the morning flight to Dali. Option 1: Cruising in Erhai Lake. Then visit Butterfly Spring, and Temple of Three Pagodas of Chongshen Monastry built in 836AD, Visit Bai people's Tie-dying cloth with wax, and their village with the traditional architectural courtyards at Xizhou Town, and Old Town of Dali. Option 2: Take cable-car up to Cangshan Mountain from Zhonghe, having a hiking about 10km along Yudaiyunyou Road among Changshan, then take cable-car down to Gantong. After lunch, visit Xizhou Town, then drive back to Dali Old Town and relax at Foreigner Street. Dali B+L+D D4 A bus journey to Lijiang city in the morning. Visit Shuhe Ancient Town and Baisha Naxi Village where you will see the 500-year-old Baisha Fresco. Then back to Lijiang, visit Lijiang Ancient Town and Mufu (Mu's Mansion). Lijiang B+L+D D5 After breakfast, drive to Jade Dragon Snow Mt., take cable-car up to the Yak Meadow and hike for about 1 hour to enjoy the breathtaking view of the main peak (5596 m high), then take cable-car down, drive back to Lijiang. On the way, visit Ganhaizi Meadow and Baishui River. Lijiang B+L+D D6 Take the morning flight back to Kunming. Visit Golden Temple, which is the largest bronze-made temple in China, continue visiting Jingxing Flowers and Birds Market. Then transfer to airport for your departure flight.
