Laojun mountain is located in lijiang, JianChuan and orchid county at the junction, it is yuengling main vein, jinsha river left, it is the lancang river around its right, because of its ridge ridge to round into a half ring, like a horseshoe old gentleman named blast furnace, were historians called "the father of yunnan province, the mountains".
In laojun mountain ridge line in the north east 3800 meters mountain depression, there are dozens of the lakes and swamps, along the streams into a string of distribution, known as the "ninety-nine longtan".Pool from melting snow in spring and summer rainfall, clear and cold, good water quality.After the water overflow, summed up the stream, form a waterfall, define a river, through the primeval forest, finally ran to the sands River, lancang river.These glacial lakes, a variety of shapes and depth ninety-nine longtan lake, in the backdrop of the sunshine and flowers and trees present a blue, orange, yellow, green colour.One of the biggest Huang Longtan, unfathomable, pool of red coral tree above the water, flush red wave from time to time.

Yak meadow in Naxi language is "bangnongguo' means beautiful and mysterious paradise.

Yak meadow locates at the very north side of jade dragon snow mountain scenic area, 45km from lijiang oldtwon.,with a size of 16.6squre km, the highest altitute of yak meadow is 4000m above sea level. 

The landscape of yak meadow is typical alpine meadow landscape, the snowy scenery, forest and meteorological landscape, and rich ethnic customs. Yi  people and Tibetan live there generation by generation.

On the mountain at the First band of the Yangtzi River stands Stone Drum (Shigu) Town. This ancient town is named after a drum-shaped marble plaque. Built during the Jiaqing era (1548-1561) of the Ming Dynasty, the stone drum is a monument commemorating the victory of Lijiang's Naxi ruler over an invading Tibetan army. It is one point five meters (five feet) in diameter and zero point five meters (two feet) in thickness. The stone drum has an obvious vestige of what appears to be a "rip" in it. It is said that the stone drum would rupture prior to any war and then fold when peace returned. Throughout time, Stone Drum Town was always a significant and vitally strategic military area where many famous historical events have been taken place. It was here that Zhuge Liang, the famous and highly acclaimed military strategist of the Three Kingdoms Period, chose to cross the Yangtze River and gain "battle advantage" over his opponents. The first emperor of the Yuan Dynasty, Kublai Khan, used this place for his expeditionary forces to ferry across the river. In April 1936, the Second Route of the Red Army, led by General He Long and Ren bishi, crossed the river here and continued to march north. There are memorials here honoring the people whose histories are entwined with the Stone Drum Town. Public transprotation or Car renting

Bang Bang Festival starts on 15th of Chinese New Year in Lijiang. The festival is a market place of Naxi minority to buy wood made pieces, flowers, hand made works with bamboo, food, clothes etc. People dress in their traditional custom. The market last for one week. A very interesting place to visit.  

   A simple plat form, a few old chairs, a few old and young people composes the band. The music is extremely plain, with no electronics, no stereo, probably the most plain concert you've been. Yet it's so pure and soothing, if you just accept it as it is, listen to it as it is. It is like listening to a conversation made in somebody's heart from the antient time, yet it's so closed to you for you  too often dialogue inside like this.  

  The Naxi Antient Orchestra is very interesting for people who really love classic Chinese music, and who admire culture very much. People say there are three 'Olds' about this concert. First, the melody they play is from the middle of the mainland during Tang Dynasty, 700 A.D., whose taste is quite rich and poetic. Second, the instruments they use are from two three hundred years ago, which people don't use much any more. Third, the people who are playing in the orchestra are mostly 60-70 years old or even older. Bcus of the historical reason, people didn't play it for almost half a century, so it's one of the tradition in danger now. The amazing thing about the orchestra is the leader of the band, called Mr. Xuanke, who lives his life from the beginning of the new republic, through all difficult times untill now, as a high scholar. Age at 82, he still comes to conduct the concert for about half an hour every evening. He has amazing stories to share, and surprisingly enough, he speaks stardard English. I do have passion towards things like this. But it can be quite boring if people don't understand it, and it's not for people who are looking for fun.

Walk to the water wheel at the northen entrance of the town, then take the middle way and walk along the left side, you'll find it after 400 meters walk.

Yulong snow mountain the main peak,Shanzigou is at the altitude of 5.596m.the The temperate gliaciers on the Asia-Europe Continent which is near east to the equator shoppes here.

Yulong snow mountain is called "olu" in Naxi longuoge,which means silver rock,it is always covered with snow and on expensive chain of 13snow peaks looks  like a flying dragon, so called "jade dragon",and because the mountain lithology is mainly made up of limestone and basalt,it is also called "black white snow mountain,"yulong snow mountain ,the avatar of Naxi guardian god"Sanduo"in legend is a holy mountain of Naxi people.

There are rich Natural resources and human culture in yulong snow mountain,main developed scenic spots at present time are the glaciers park,ganhaizi,the blue moon valley,spruce meadow ,yak meadow,yushui village dongba valley,yuzhuqingtian,dongba gads'garden,dongba kind ow,jade peak temple and baisha mural.

Yulong snow mountain has been ranked as one of the national 5A scenic areas in the first batch appraisal.
