Bubble tea, a drink containing milk-tea and gelatinous “bubbles”, can be found throughout Nanjing at street-side take-out vendors, restaurants of any price level, and even in convenience stores. It’s not uncommon to witness 2 or 3 different bubble tea vendors within shouting distance of each other each offering something slightly different. Despite the stiff competition it is clear that Duokeduo (多克多) maintains some of the most loyal customers of all. Customers patiently wait in long line-ups to pay twice the price of a normal take-out bubble tea. Many come for Duokeduo’s 7 yuan “Large Combo Bubble Tea” (全套奶茶, quántào nǎichá), which contains pudding, bubbles, small strips of chewy coconut and ice cream. Bubble teas are served in a variety of flavors such as papaya, original, strawberry and taro. It can be requested hot (热, rè) or cold (冷, lěng). The menu is in Chinese only.

Don’t worry, the line moves up fairly quickly.
Did You Know?
Bubble tea is also called “pearl milk tea” (珍珠奶茶, Zhēnzhū Nǎichá)
Duokeduo does not have a phone or an internet site and employees do not know the addresses of the other 4 Duokeduo locations in Nanjing. Why worry about attracting more business if there is already a long line of customers to serve?
How to Get There
Duokeduo is just around the corner from the south entrance to Lion’s Bridge (狮子桥, Shī ziqiáo). It is right next to the parking building and across the street from Yosemite (悠仙美地). Look for the red sign.

Climate

Wuxi’s climate is far more bearable than that of many other cities around China. Unlike some regions, there are four distinct seasons in Wuxi.
It rains practically year round in Wuxi. Rain accumulation varies from 30 - 40 mm in the driest months of December and January up to 160 - 170 mm in the wettest months of June and July.
Winter can feel very cold, but most people still complain that it is much colder in the north of China. However, the temperature rarely dips far below zero, and there is very little snow. When it does snow it barely has a chance to settle. The snowfall is usually just enough to give you a sparkling halo for a while if you are outside. You may need a second doona/quilt on the bed, a warm winter coat, and even some long underwear, but you certainly won't need layers and layers of clothing like in the north.
Generally speaking the temperature stays between 0 and 10 degrees Celsius during the winter months.
Spring is long and extremely pleasant. There is still a little rain and a few windy days, but nothing too unpleasant. Its cool enough to wear a light jacket and jeans, but warm enough to leave the scarf, boots, and gloves at home. The ladies can walk around in dresses or skirts if they prefer.
Spring days are usually between 15 and 25 degrees (C) and nights between 15 and 20 degrees (C).
Summer is warm, sometimes fairly hot, and can become unpleasantly muggy and humid. Summer experiences the heaviest rainfall, so you will definitely need an umbrella. If you are riding a bike, then one of those ponchos is a must too (you'll notice them on all the locals riding next to you).
Summer days are mostly in the high 20’s (C) and nights are often still very warm, sometimes dipping down to about 24 degrees (C).
Autumn is still fairly humid, but easily cooler than summer, and again quite pleasant. The weather is often warm enough to wear shorts or skirts and cotton shirts. There is still some rain, so keep your umbrella handy.
Autumn is still relatively warm, with days in the mid 20’s (C) and nights a little cooler than in summer.

In recent years Nanjing’s nightlife scene has undoubtedly changed for the better. The 1912 bar district is a common place to start a tour of Nanjing’s nightlife as it features Nanjing’s largest concentration of bars and clubs. Besides 1912, bars, pubs, clubs, karaokes, restaurants and not-so-mentionable locales are dispersed across the city, especially near Xinjiekou and close to the student population.

City Wall (Admission: 45CNY) - Nanjing City Wall, constructed during the Yuan and Ming Dynasties between 1365 and 1386, originally stretched over 30km which made it the longest city wall in the world. Now, with about two thirds of the wall still intact it still remains the longest city wall in China. We could walk on the city wall and feel the history of Nanjing.

Since Tangshan is a little town outside of Nanjing city and it`s quite far away, i would suggest to use a private car to drive there directly.
