Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Ci'en Temple

The Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Chinese: 大雁塔; pinyin: Dàyàn Tǎ) is a holy ground for Chinese Buddhists, which still occupy and manage the property. The entrance fee to the property is 30 yuan and another 30 yuan if you want to go inside the pagoda, which provides a wonderful view of Xi'an. There are many retail gift shops on the property selling many, many Buddhist-related items including art, jewelry, incense and music. You can see the rooms of Buddhist books and texts and there are nice garden areas to sit and relax. You will learn about the jeremiad to and from India by the hierarch Xuanzang, the patriarch of Chinese Buddhism. The pagoda was originally built in 652 and is 64.5 meters (211.6 feet) high. There is a gallery of old photographs and drawings of the site. To get there you can take several buses to either Tang Paradise South Gate or Tang Paradise North Gate. There is a large food court outside the South Gate that has several Western style restaurants.

Big Goose Pagoda which is in the Ci`en Temple complex.

The temple was built in AD 648 by Tang Gaozong, in order to honor his mother. Unlucky the temple was destroyed after the fall of Tang Dynasty. The present buildings now most are from Qing Dynasty, have been renovated recently.

Temple will always make your heart peace and kind.
