This restaurant serves Cantonese snacks in the form of rice, noodle and dumpling based dishes. Their specialty is changfen (rice-sheet wraps with meat and vegetable fillings) and wanton. The iced-tea with lemon is a great thirst quencher. Service is friendly and fast. Some of the staff even speak passable English. A stomach can be filled here for about RMB20. 
Bo Ji Changfen King is very close to Dong Men, which is easily accessible by Exit A of Lao Jie metro station. From the Dongmen Walking-Street go on to Dongmen Middle Road and walk 5 minutes north to Shaibu footbridge. The restaurant is at the foot of this bridge on the opposite side. Bus nos. 102, 113,103, and 203 also stop near here.

Unless you like the idea of a chunk of Spam between two slices of sweetened bread, avoid the Western food on their menus. Dapeng Ancient City is an old fortress-town overlooking Daya Bay on Dapeng Peninsula in the east of Shenzhen. The fortress was first established in 1394 and developed into a large town during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The remains of this walled town cover an area of 10,000 square meters.
There are residents in the alleys outside its walls but nobody lives in the city anymore (although you will see people involved in restoration and reconstruction work). This makes for a slightly eerie experience as you can wander the silent streets freely, watched only by stray dogs. A map is provided with a ticket and the city’s most important structures are highlighted in yellow. There are well-preserved shrines, barracks, administrative buildings, private residences and the ubiquitous temple to Matsu.
The best way to see the city is to enter from the South Gate and move in an anti-clockwise direction, taking in Dongmen Street and Zheng Street. Between the South Gate and the East Gate, the Yiwen Building houses a small exhibition of documents and artefacts recording the city’s history. Dapeng Ancient City is designated as a “patriotism education site” and its important role in the Opium Wars and, after the cessation of Hong Kong, as a frontier garrison is emphasized.
Opposite the Yiwen Building is a residence of a former admiral. The house, which has inner-courtyards, bedrooms, a kitchen and an ancestral worship hall, is an excellent example of how the upper echelons of pre-Liberation Chinese society lived.
A visit to Dapeng Ancient City is well worth the one-hour trip from Luohu. The emptiness gives Dapeng a greater sense of history than Nantou Ancient City. It is a great place to see the layout and architecture of an ancient Chinese city, without the interferences of a modern one.
Dapeng Ancient City is in Longang District just outside the Special Economic Zone. Bus nos. 360 and 364 take about one hour from Luohu District to Dapeng Town (passing the Meisha Beach Parks on the way). From there it is a ten-minute ride on bus 818.

Chiwan Tianhou Palace Temple is dedicated to the worship of Tianhou -- or Matsu, as the coastal people of South Asia more commonly know her. Matsu is the Chinese goddess of the sea. She protects fishermen and others whose lives are dependent on the capriciousness of the ocean. She is worshipped in Fujian, Taiwan, Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau as well as in the Chinese communities of South East Asia.
The Chiwan Tianhou Palace Temple sits at the foot of Xiaonan Hill facing the sea (and surrounded by ship-container yards) in the western part of Shenzhen. There has been a temple here since the late Southern Song dynasty (AD1127-1279), which developed and expanded over the course of the Ming and Qing dynasties.
At the front of the temple complex a large statue of Matsu stands between Moon Pond and Sun Pond, facing a Drum Tower, a Bell Tower and the entrance to the inner courtyard. Just inside the courtyard and behind a small shrine to earth deities, stands the “Celestial Tree.” Those experiencing difficulties or challenges ease their worried minds by writing petitions on red cards and tying them to its branches. Inside the main building an impressive standing statue of Matsu is flanked by large conical stands comprised of numerous small lights. Businesses and households purchase these lights in the hope that they will shine good fortune on them.
Chiwan Tianhou Palace Temple is a popular place of worship and attracts visitors from home and abroad. The two weeks leading up to Matsu’s birthday, which falls on the 23rd day of the 3rd month in the Chinese Lunar Calendar, is a busy period for the temple and an ideal time for visitors to witness a centuries-old, Chinese tradition in action.
Chiwan Tianhou Palace Temple is a RMB15 cab ride from Seaworld in Shekou. It can also be reached by bus nos. 226 and 433.

The Penthouse is in Fountain-Signature Suites (serviced apartments) on Shennan East Road about a ten-minute walk from the intersection with Dongmen Road and opposite Leyuan Road. Both Guo Mao and Lao Jie Metro stations are the nearest. From the former head north and from the latter head south to Shennan Middle Road. From there, head east. It will take about twenty minutes to get there from either. Bus nos. 2, 29 and 205 stop near it.

Occupying an area of 15,000 square meters (about 17,940 square yards), the Ancestral Temple of Chen Family is a fine piece of architecture of Cantonese style, composed of six courtyards, nine main halls, and nineteen buildings. It is considered as one of the four main cultural attractions in Guangdong Province in China with the three others being - the Ancestors' Temple in Foshan City, the former Residence of Sun Yat-sen in Zhongshan City and the Opium War Memorial Hall in Dongguan City.
The Ancestral Temple of Chen Family, given another name called Chen Clan Academy later, was built between 1890 and 1894 during the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911). The temple was funded by Chen's families in 72 counties of Guangdong province as well as some oversea members of Family Chen. The original function of this construction was to pay tribute to Chens' ancestors, later, it was used as an academy, where the descendants of Chen family lodged at and prepared for the imperial examination. It is now the Guangdong Folk Art Museum. Walking in the temple, you will see a lot of folk artworks and handicrafts, including enameling, embroidery, porcelain, lacquer work and paper cutting, all with a long history. What fascinates most is the traditional Chinese watercolor. As the artist flicks his wrist for several times, a scene of China's past takes shapes.
What makes Ancestral Temple of Chen Family distinctive is the extensive application of the various techniques just like wood carvings, stone carvings, brick carvings, clay sculpture, ash sculpture, brass and iron foundry, grotto and other forms of art. The sculptural technique expresses simplicity and ruggedness, precision and exquisiteness, each setting off the other.
The Ancestral Temple of Chen Family abounds with the finely made brick carvings, which represent the highest level of Cantonese brick carvings in the Qing Dynasty. The selection of the quality of the blue bricks is very essential for the brick carvings. Subsequently, the bricks are carved one by one according to the designed pattern. One of clients contact me from Synotrip, now we become friends. He is obsess with chinese martial art and Bruce Lee, so he decide to come to China to follow the step of martial idol.
He ask me to plan a “discovery of martial art” trip for him. No doubt that Foshan, which is renowned for its martial art form, is the best place to him. In fact, the city of Foshan can be called the birth place and home town of this particular martial art form. The notable celebrity are Ip Man, Bruce Lee, and Wang Fei Hong who is a legendary martial art master and doctor and seldom foreigner know him.
We plan to visit Ip Man memory hall in Ancestral Temple first, after that, go to Bruce Lee ancestor house. Actually, we can go Ancestral Temple by metro from Guangzhou. There is a Guangfo line connected Guangzhou and Foshan, which it is more convenience for the people of two city. But considering the distance from Guangzhou East to Foshan, tight schedule, and the place of Bruce Lee ancestor house is a remote village hard to get there by public transportation, we decided to rent a car for traveling.
My friend arrived at about 9:30 am at Guangzhou East station,and after picking him up we headed to Ancestral Temple. The Foshan Ancestral Temple is commonly called Zumiao. It is a Daoist temple, museum, and exhibition center. The architecture, decor and articles on view in Foshan Ancestral Temple are remarkably refined, and are part of the unique historical heritage of Foshan.
Because my friend is a martial art fans, so we directly to the Ip Man memory hall.Ip man, a man dedicated to a Wing Chun, is a famous Chinese martial art master, had been a master of Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee learn Wing Chun and develop it in his Jeet Kune Do. In the museum, you can see a likeness of Ip Man, martial arts training equipment, and a plaque with information about him.
There is another memory hall for famous legendary martial artist and doctor named Wang Fei Hong. In this place,we also see a chinese traditional customs performance ---lion dance.
We are so deep addicted to enjoying the time in the Ip Man hall and lion dance without noticing that it comes to the afternoon. We need to head to next place - Bruce Lee Ancestor House, which it take one hour to arrive from temple.

The Bruce Lee Ancestral House located in Jun'an Town is another site for Bruce Lee fans to visit.Built by his grandfather, Lee came back to the house once and lived in the house for only a few days. Even though we only just saw the furniture and the introduction of him and his family, we still felt exciting stand a place which Bruce had been lived.
We spent a great day to feel the martial art culture and gorgeous historical building in Foshan. My friend is pretty good impressed and said that he must would share this experience to his martial art friend when he go back to UK.

By the Tang (618-907 AD) and Song (960-1279 AD) dynasties, Foshan was already an important trade port in Southern China – renowned for its handicrafts, commerce and culture. First, visit the Foshan Ancestral Temple (Foshan Zu Miao), built in 1078-1085 for sacrificial offerings to the Northern Xuantian Heavenly Emperor, a revered Daoist deity. Reconstructed in 1372 after the original building was destroyed, the formerly named Zumiao Temple was Foshan’s first temple. As you tour the Ancestral Temple, admire the locally produced decorations, furnishings and ceramics for which Foshan is known. Your guide will enlighten you about the temple’s use, before the Qing Dynasty, as a meeting place to conduct official business.
