Travelers along the ancient Silk Road will definitely want to stop at Dunhuang for a visit to the Mogao Caves, which are representative of early Buddhist cave art. Unlike the Yungang Caves, which featured Buddhas carved into hillsides, the Mogao Grottoes mostly feature murals painted on cave walls. Some of the paintings date back to the fourth century. At one time, there were more than 1,000 cave temples.

Lanzhou is the capital of Gansu province, northwest of china. You need to see and try something special here.
        The first thing is the yellow river line. lanzhou is the only city where yellow river flowing trough. You could experience the following. The five of them are quite close, which would take around 3-4 hours.

        1, The view along the yellow river and the first bridge. Especially beautiful at night when the street lamps on.

        2, Sculpture of the Mother Yellow River

        3, the waterwheel garden

        4, experience the sheepskin raft .

        5, visit the White Pagoda mountain where you could enjoy a whole view of the yellow river and the bridge.

The detailed itinerary for reference:

Day 1- Meet you at the Dunhuang airport. Visit Dunhuang museum, which depends on your arrival time. Stay over night at Dunhuang;
Day 2- Visit Mogao grottos, echoing sanddune and crescent lake, West Jin ancient tomb. Night market of Dunhuang . Stay over night at Dunhuang;
Day 3- Visit west-thousand Buddha caves, the Jade gate pass, the ruins of great wall in Han dynasty 2000 yeas ago, the Ya Dan national geological park. After this drive to the desert to do camel ride experience, have special barbecue dinner with free beer, a bonfire party with other tourists and camp at the foot of Kumutag desert.( If you want the customized tour of the camping activites only for your own group,just let me know before booking the tour) . Stay over night in the desert;
Day 4 Visit Yulin grottos and Suoyang castle ruins in Guazhou. stay overnight at dunhuang.
Day 5- Drive to Dunhuang airport.
