Confucius is a famous ancient Chinese thinker and educator.He founded the first private school in China,and he established Confucianism ,the Confucian Theory System,which is the most famous philosophical system in the history of China.

The Confucius Temple was built in 1306,it's a place for people to pay homage to the ancient sage Confucius.

The Imperial Temple was built next to Confucius Temple where it was considered the highest educational college at that time.

It is largest, most complete imperial palace in the world。It is located in the capital of the people's Republic of Beijing city center ，east of Chang'an Avenue, to the north of Tiananmen square. "Gui Jie　簋街"  known as " The Ghost Street", literally,  " 簋 Gui" means "food  container" and " 街 jie" means "street".   The word "ghost"  has the same pronunciation with the word " food container", locals like to call the street " The Ghost Street", and come at night when all the red lanterns lit up.

There are full of restaurants at "The Ghost Street" and the local dining scene are so much to see.

Gubeikou Great Wall occupies a strategically important location which is difficult to access, It is located at southeastern Gubeikou Town in Miyun County of Beijing. This a part of the 1,500-kilometer-long Great Wall Section that was constructed in the year 555 AD, and to which it stretched from Yulin River in Shaanxi Province in the west, to Shanhaiguan in the east. The Gubeikou Great Wall comprises three sub-sections, Crouching Tiger Hill , Dragon Hill  and Simatai reat Walls. it is the bastion protecting the northern gateway to the capital.


 

The Smoking Pipe Street is located in Xicheng District. Somewhere near by the Shichahai or Hou hai Bar street. It's one of the oldest Hutongs in Beijing.

In the late Qing Dynasty, there were many smoking pipe stores along the street.  So it was named Smoking Pipe Street. But some people said because the shape of the street looks like Smoking Pipe.

The feature of street is ancient and fashion together.  You can find nice stores for souvenir, clothes,even  bar or restaurant. When you walk from Houhai Bar street to Drum Tower, you will pass by the Smoking Pipe Street. This street is just 232 meters long, but it's very interesting  to look around there.
