Hall of Joyful Longevity
Completed in 1772, the Hall of Joyful Longevity served as the dwelling place for Emperor Qianlong after his dethronement. During the reign of Emperor Guangxu, Empress Dowager Cixi made its western chamber her bedroom.

Well of the Pearl Concubine
In 1900, the Eight-power Allied Forces invaded Beijing, and Empress Dowager Cixi and Emperor Guangxu fled westwards to Xi'an. Before leaving, Cixi ordered the Pearl Concubine, a consort of Emperor Guangxu, to be thrown into a well in the Forbidden City, and hence the name.
Corner Towers
The Corner Towers are four defensive structures at the four corners of the Forbidden City. It is said that their design drew inspiration from grasshopper cages.

Hall of Imperial Supremacy
The Hall of Imperial Supremacy is the main structure of the Palace of Tranquil Longevity. It was the place where dethroned emperor Qianlong used to meet officials. Qianlong even held a grand banquet for the elderly here.

Palace of Tranquil Longevity
The Palace of Tranquil Longevity is a rectangular building complex in the northeastern part of the Forbidden City, which was constructed by Emperor Qianlong as his residence after dethronement. The palace is also divided into the Outer Court and the Inner Court.
Qianlong Garden
Qianlong Garden was constructed by Emperor Qianlong as a place for relaxation after his dethronement. Adjacent to the Palace of Tranquil Longevity, the garden covers 5,920 square meters.

Hall for Ancestral Worship

The Hall for Ancestral Worship was the place where the imperial household worshiped their ancestors in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The hall now houses the Clock and Watch Gallery and is used to exhibit more than 100 domestic and foreign timepieces from the 18th Century.
Hall for Abstinence
Located in the southeastern part of the Forbidden City, the Hall for Abstinence used to be the place for the emperors' abstinence before ceremonies worshipping the heaven and earth.
Palace of Great Benevolence, Palace of Celestial Favor, Palace of Eternal Harmony, Palace of Great Brilliance, Palace of Purity and Palace of Lasting Happiness
Collectively known as the Six Eastern Palaces, they were built in the same style on the east side of the Forbidden City’s Inner Court, and served as residences of imperial concubines during the Ming and Qing dynasties.

I'll pick you up at 8:00 am in your hotel, and transfer to Bajiao Zhai Village by our private van.
