I had a very exciting and interesting day exploring Shanghai with Xi. I contacted Xi by email a few weeks before I came to Shanghai and arranged a 1 day tour of Shanghai. Xi was very flexible in terms of arranging the tour and was able to make many suggestions to my requests and we came up with an interesting itinerary.
The tour went ahead exactly as we planned and we visited many places, and this tour was a highlight of my trip to Shanghai.
Xi is very knowledgeable of Shanghai and can suggest interesting places that are a little different to the normal tourist spots. You get a taste of the real Shanghai and Chinese culture.
Xi is friendly, understanding and very helpful and provided the support I needed as a newcomer to China and Shanghai. It was a delight to have someone who could translate as Xi was able to bridge language difficulties that I would have experienced.
We travelled on the Metro and by Taxi and in this way visited many popular and interesting Shanghai places.  On a return trip to Shanghai I would have no hesitation of contacting Xi again.

Shanghai is a great place to visit, but  especially when you come there for the first time it can be confusing to get around and find the really interesting places. Xi proved to be the perfect tour guide and helped a lot to experience the city. We went to Zhujiajiao, with its fantastic old house building near the river and lots of places in the vicinity to have a blink of the local life. We also had a very interesting walking tour through the French Concession, seeing  Xintiandi, the Normandie building and so on. There is a small library called old china hand reading room in this area where they serve good coffee, a nice place for a short break. Xi also showed me a restaurant called "hot chilly" with food from the Sichuan province which is a bit hot but definitely great. All in all, I am really happy that she showed me around, I would have never found these places on my own. Thank you, Xi!!
 

xi helped me a lot when I first arrived in shanghai. since I was going to stay for a while, I was in need for someone to help me master the daily life in china.. so I asked her to show me around!

besides showing me some exciting places in shanghai, she taught me how to order food in local restaurants, handle my mobile account, pay the electricity bills, where to buy drinking water etc..

thanks to her I don't feel so lost anymore, so spending the day with her is definitely worth it.
