I was part of a group of 7 Americans who took a memorable trip to the beautiful country side of southern China on June 27 to July 11, 2015.  We spent 9 days in Guilin and Yangshuo with tour guide Jack Zhou, enjoying the beauty of the Karst mountain, rice terraces, ancient villages and Li river.
 
Then we headed to Zhangjiajie where we were to meet Jeffery Tangming, our escort for the next 7 days.  When he found out we had an 11 hour drive, he rearranged our itinerary to save 4 hours travel time. This would be the first of several changes that showed Jeffrey’s flexibility to assure our group maximized the opportunities to enjoy the best of Zhangjiajie.  Finding out that we were not able to see a light show in Yangshuo due to flooding, he quickly arranged to have us see a fabulous performance of “the Woodcutter and the Fox Fairy” in the mountainside of Zhangjiajie. His years in the hospitality industry was evident in the way he accommodated us.

Throughout the trip, he shared his knowledge of the scenic points, history, people and culture of Zhangjiajie.  What was most notable about Jeffrey was his assistance after our flight to Shanghai was canceled due to typhoon Chan-Hom.  He came to our hotel, even after our tour was over, to assess our situation and offer his assistance in our most dire moment.  He went above and beyond the call of duty to get 4 of us on a flight to Shanghai.

We will never forget Jeffrey Tangming ‘s compassion, concern and extraordinary service and recommend him to anyone seeking an English speaking guide with extensive knowledge of his home district and a compassionate heart.

 This spring my family visited Zhangjiajie, we had chance getting Jeffrey Tang as our assistance in Zhangjiajie, his service impressed us very much. Our flight delayed 2 hours because of the weather left us in worrying mood; Jeffrey offered secured pickup, and safe transfer along the mountain road to our hotel in Wulingyuan. We searched online for hotel booking, it is difficult to choose from so many hotel options, it is Jeffrey give us wise selection on basis of itinerary with the local knowledge, we spend 4 days in Zhangjiajie as part of my China trip, Jeffrey considered all our requests in our itinerary, from less visited destinations to great dinning places on a budget, we all love Zhangjiajie awesome scenery and beauty, our trip to Zhangjiajie is unforgettable.

Thank you for your kind note. Yes, I enjoyed  flight home and arrived safely  last Sunday morning. I was reviewing some photographs and so many beautiful memories came rushing back to me! Part of me wishes I were still there--seeing the beautiful scenery, eating the nutritious food, and having happy interactions with many people and sites.

It makes me feel very happy to hear that you enjoyed your time with us. I truly hope to see you in the future.

I thank you again from the bottom of my heart for leading our tour group with such competence.very thoughtful, very accommodating, It was very generous of you and Mr. Chan to share your knowledge of Chinese history and customs with us; I learned a lot from you as well as from Oliver and Kate. My family and I traveled to China in October 2013 and we decide to spend 4 days visiting Zhangjiajie. Was one of the best parts of our entire trip! And mainly because Jeffrey was our guide. He is a very friendly, kind and incredible patient guy. He took us to the best places to sightseeing and take photographs. We went to Fenghuang Town, Furong Town, Zhangjiajie national forest park (similar to Avatar movie's floating mountain), Yellow dragon cave and Tianmen Mountain. The timing was perfect and he is very flexible and VERY patient. My parents are very hard to deal with but he always had a warm smile for them. Him, along with the driver of our mini van, were simply awesome.

Zhangjiajie is one of the most amazing places to visit in the world. We will definitely come back.

I took a recent trip to the ZJJ area in mid-August 2013 and hired Jeffrey as my guide for the initial 2 days out of 6-day total stay. For the entire trip, Jeffrey helped booked/managed all hotels and travel arrangements that included my visit to nearby minority town Furong and Fenghuang, airport pickup/drop off, and all hotel transfers. Transportation are private cars, as well as park buses when inside the national park.

I'm an independent traveler and avid photographer, also traveling on business prior to visiting ZJJ. I didn't think of hiring a guide initially but upon review the map of the vast area and hotel logistics, I wanted some help with transport and luggage transfer from place to place. This turned out to be the best decision, as hauling my 2 bags in the hot summer weather would not have been fun. Jeffrey also was flexible and suggested I'd only need him for the initial 2 days to get familiar with the area, the rest of the time he had a dedicated driver for me who took good care taking me to each stops and pickups.

Jeffrey has a lot of passion for what he does, and his love for the mountains shows when explaining what to see, best places for photos, and history of the region and people. Be sure to ask him lots of questions, he has a wealth of information that will more than satisfy your curiosity. Keep in mind China has a lot of domestic tourists as well, who are just as excited to see this incredible place as anyone else would be. Jeffrey knows how to plan your day-to-day itinerary to avoid crowds, again ask him when to start the day, where you plan to shoot with best light, etc. Due to weather issues I was not able to shoot sunrise one day, but Jeffrey still got up at 5am to check weather and consult with me to make sure we make good decision. If alone I'd have just went for it anyway, but Jeffrey's knowledge of the mountain and weather meant we didn't have to out there in the morning darkness in the rain and total cloud cover with no visibility!

I come across Jeffrey from referrals by other travelers on TripAdvisor. I was very happy with his service, and would not hesitate to recommend him and his company when visiting the ZJJ area.

In October, 2012, my brother & I visited Zhangjiajie and used Jeffery Tang Ming as our guide.  Jeffrey was excellent in every respect.  His knowledge of Zhangjiajie is impressive, because he was able to take us to the best photo spots, and avoided other spots that were crowded and not as photogenic.

One morning, in the Wulingyuan area, I wanted to photograph elderly people (people whose faces have character), so Jeffrey walked around with me and talked everyone I wanted to photograph into letting me take their picture.  I was extremely impressed with the rapport Jeffrey immediately established with these people.

Finally, Jeffrey waited for our arrival at the airport (the airplane was late), checked us in to our hotels, and checked us back in at the airport for our plane trip back to Shanghai. 

In summary, Jeffrey has all the qualities that are essential for a tour operator to have:  a thorough knowledge of the area you wish to see, dependability, trustworthiness (there were absolutely no surprises financially), friendliness, and his rapport with his fellow countrymen.
