Tour Description
Varaždin is a beautiful small city in the North-western Croatia, which is filled with interesting things.
Apart from the well-known and praiseworthy buildings which are filled with history, Varaždin abounds with lesser-known things. I know where the old town’s “verglaš” is hidden, where the lucky money is being coined, where the finest “gemišt” can be found and where the yummiest cakes are made. I know where the homemade “klipić” and “štrukle” are being baked just like our “old folks” did it. I know who has the prettiest backyard and where the angels go to sleep. I know where to find the city’s best artists, as well as their ateliers. Take a walk with me and I will show you all those sweet city secrets, which are sometimes unfamiliar even to the people of Varaždin themselves.
Sometimes I will even wear my baroque dress and take a walk with tourists throughout the wonderful baroque city of Varaždin telling them stories and uncovering sweet little secrets hidden in the streets of this wonderful town. At your service, your grace :)
Would you like to see just the centre of the city, we'll take a walk. If you'd like to take a stroll through the famous cemetery or take a peek around the houses we live in, we can hire a bike and have a ride, as the bicycles themselves are one of the many traditions of this city.
