The day ends with the tour of the medieval city of Brasov (2 hours): the Council Square, the Black Church (the largest gothic cathedral in South Eastern Europe), Catherine's Gate, the Rope Street, the Synagogue, the Bastions, panoramic view from Tampa Alley. Dinner on your own, Romanian or international cuisine. Accommodation in a 4**** or 3*** superior hotel in Brasov.
Day 2: departure for Sibiu, European Capital of Culture in 2007. City Tour (2 hours): Bruckenthal Palace / Museum, Council Tower, Evangelical Church, Catholic Church, Orthodox Cathedral, Passage of Stairs, Lies' Bridge. Continue or way through the Olt River Valley and magnificent Gorges. Coffee break in Calimanesti- Caciulata Resort. Visit Medieval Monastery of Cozia, built in the 14th century by prince Mircea the Old as his burial place (prince Mircea was Vlad the Impaler's grandfather). Back to Bucharest on A1 highway.
