 Those who are very energetic can challenge themselves by hiking the whole route in two days. If there is still time and energy left, you can hike to Mutianyu following the path to the east. It would take about 1.5 hours to get there from the Zhengdong Tower.

Jiankou Great Wall is wild and old. Mutianyu Great Wall was featured by many watchtowers on overlapping mountain ranges.  
1.Pick up from your hotel in Beijing at 8:00am by our English speaking tour guide and have 2.5-hour drive to Jiankou Great Wall. We will start to hike eastward around 10:30 from the  unrestored  Jiankou Great Wall to the restored Mutianyu Great Wall.

2.we will climb up the mountain and get to the wall at the mountain ridge. We start from Zhengbeilou Tower, then walk on the rugged wall along the mountain at Jiankou, finally we will arrive Mutianyu Great Wall .It takes 4more hours be there..
3. It is so tired for so much walking. so you can get down from the wall at Mutianyu by cable car or toboggan. Toboggan is a lot of fun.
4. Transfer to your hotel。

“The best Wall hike you can possibly make”

Jiankou is the best part of the Great Wall. It is authentic, not only have stunning scenery, but also a very exciting hiking trail for those who love adventures.
If you are sitting on the fence thinking about whether this is worth the money, that much better than the more accessible sections of the wall then stop and just go for it, it is worth it. This was easily the highlight of my two weeks in China. You may have seen stunning photos of this area but they don't do justice to actually being there. John is a knowledgable and courteous guide will takes into consideration the needs of the group. We did the 5 hours hike and, although I am not particularly fit, I did not find it physically too difficult (the hardest part was the walk up to the wall from the Xizhazi village). . Ideal timing for photographs.
All the sections are easily manageable with no real vertical scrambles, although a fair level of fitness and some stout boots definitely help. The hike starts on the level and very soon ascends along the unrestored wall. The climb is steep, but the views are stunning and the Wall sections along the ridge-line simply fantastic, as are the views.

There are three sections of Jiankou Great wall you can choose .
1. North of Jiankou , located in Xizhazi village ,about 120km from downtown of Beijing City .
