Lantern Festival (Chinese:元宵节), or Yuan Xiao Festival in Chinese, falls on the 15th day of the lunar New Year, which is also the last day but the peak of the Spring Festival. Lantern Festival can be traced back to Western Han Dynasty (207BC- 25AD), about 2000 years ago. The customs of Lantern Festival may slightly different across the country, but generally, eat Yuan Xiao, enjoy festive lanterns, guess lantern riddles, set off firecrackers and fireworks, watch dragon dancing and lion dancing are the main activities.
Yuan Xiao (Chinese:元宵) is a traditional food for Lantern Festival, which is also called as Tang Yuan (Chinese:汤圆) in southern areas. It is a kind of dessert made of glutinous rice flour; fillings are normally the sesame and peanuts, sometimes also the vegetable or meat. It is made into round as round symbolizes the wholeness and unity in Chinese.
Just as its name implies, lanterns are the most featured items for Lantern Festivals. Red lanterns and colorful lanterns are hanged everywhere on windows, gates, shops, trees and the streets. In the evening of the fesival, people carry their own lanterns through the streets to join in the carnival with kinds of performances such as lion dance and dragon dance, and fireworks. In the past, people made lanterns themselves in various shapes and colors; and popular patterns are butterflies, dragons, flowers and birds, with the dominant common red spherical lanterns. Today, most people do not make lanterns themselves, as a variety of lanterns can be found in the market. Guessing lantern riddles is a popular and interesting game; it is indispensable that lantern owners past their riddles on lanterns, and people who can get the right answers will be reward with a little gift. As a matter of fact, Lantern Festival is a traditional Chinese Valentine’s Day from the start of its celebration; it is because that young people are the main force of the lanterns’ night and romances happen frequently during the festival; and those have lovers also secretly met each other at this populous night as free love is often forbidden in ancient Chinese families.

Materials: two median-size tomatoes, two eggs, shallot, oil, salt, sugar, chicken powder.

Materials: two median-size tomatoes, two eggs, shallot, oil, salt, sugar, chicken powder.
Cooking Procedures:
a. Cut the tomatoes into slices, break up the eggs and stir it in a bowl with a little salt (add a little bit water will make the egg more tender), cut the shallot into short sections.
b. Heat the pan until it gets try and put some oil in it, fry the egg liquid before the oil seethes and smash the egg into pieces.
c. Then fry the tomatoes pieces with the egg, add some salt, continue to fry for a while and add some sugar.
d. When the tomatoes pieces are cooked, add some chicken powder and stir it well. Remove the cooked food into the plate. Spread the cut shallot one on the dish.
2. Fried Kidney Bean
Materials: kidney beans, several garlic cloves, two dry red peppers, salt, chicken powder.
Cooking Procedures:
a. Peel off the skin of the skin of the garlic cloves and cut up the garlic cloves.
b. Heat the pan until it gets try and put some oil in it, fry the mashed garlic before the oil seethes, put the kidney beans into the pan and fry with the garlic, add some salt and fry for a while, lid the pan (you can add a little water to avoid it chars) for some 5 minutes.
c. When the surface of the kidney beans gets wrinkled, add some chicken powder and fry for less than one minute. Remove the cooked food into the plate.
3. Sweet and Sour Spareribs
Materials: half a kg of spareribs, ginger, garlic, shallot, salt, sugar, vinegar, cooking wine.
Cooking Procedures:
a. Heat the pan until it gets try and put enough oil in it, deep-fry the chopped spareribs with ginger slices when the oil gets hot, stir the spareribs from time to time.
b. Remove the spareribs out of the pan when they get golden, pick out the ginger slices and leave a little oil in the pan, fry the diced garlic, salt, sugar and cooking wine together for a while, then put the fried spareribs into the pan and continue to fry.
c. After some 2 minutes, add a little vinegar and stir for several times, then add some chicken powder and continue to stir for a while.
d. Remove the cooked food into the plate and spread cut shallot on it.
4. Sour Shredded Potatoes
Materials: 2 median-size potatoes (for 4-6 people), a red pepper and a green pepper (spicy both), a garlic clove, salt, vinegar, chicken powder.
Cooking Procedures:
a. Shred the potatoes and the peppers, soak the shred potatoes, peel off of skin of the garlic clove and cut it up.
b. Heat the pan until it gets try and put enough oil in it, quick-fry the mashed garlic when the oil gets hot, then fry the shredded potatoes together, add some salt and continue to fry for one minute, and then add the shredded pepper.
c. Keep frying it for about 5 minutes and add some vinegar, stir it well, then add dome chicken powder and remove the food into the plate.
5. Spicy Cola Chicken Wings
Materials: some pairs of chicken wings, cola, aniseed, salt, chicken powder, soy sauce, cooking wine, shallot, ginger, garlic.
Cooking Procedures:
a. make some cuts on the surface of the wings for seasoning, then pickle the wings in a bowl with soy sauce and cooking wine for some one hour.
b. Heat the pan until it gets try and put enough oil in it, fry the cut ginger and garlic when the oil get hot, then turn down the heat and put the wings (without the pickled liquid) into the pan and fry them, stir them from time to time.
c. When both sides of the wings get golden, turn the heat down and remove the oil out, then add enough coca to cover the wings, add some salt and aniseed. Lid the pan with moderate heat.
d. When all of the coca in the pan evaporates, add chicken powder and cut shallot. Remove the cooked food into the plate.

This day you are heading to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Wulingyuan Scenic Area. The first main attraction in the park that you will visit is Golden Whip Brook. It covers a distance of 7.5 km from north to south, winding across mountains and valleys. The brook is limpid through the year, with many scenic spots along the way. Then you will take Bailong elevator (1,070 ft. glass elevator) go up to Yuanjiajie Senic Area. You will visit Greatest Natural Bridge, Enchanting Terrace and Heaven Pillar. Heaven Pillar is AVATAR Mountain. The movie AVATAR was shot here. Enjoy Hallelujah Mountain. In the afternoon, you are going to Tianzi Mountain by tourist car. You will see Xihai,Helong Park, Imperial Writing Brush Peaks, Fairy Dispersing Flowers, etc.

In the morning, you will go to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon for seeing the highest and longest glass bridge in the world. It's about 50 minutes driving distance from Wulinyuan. Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge (also called Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge) is a bridge located in Zhangjiajie, China, above the Wulingyuan area. The bridge, built as an attraction for tourists, is glass-bottomed and is transparent. It is the longest and tallest glass bottomed bridge in the world. The bridge, opened to the public on 20 August 2016, measures 430 meters in length and 6 meters in breadth, and is suspended about 300 meters above the ground. The bridge spans the canyon between two mountain cliffs in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, Hunan, China. After finished the glass bridge then you will go to Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park. Your heart will beat fast on the world’s longest cable car at Tianmen Mountain. You will do the glass skywalk. It is a suspended glass walkway almost a mile (1,430 meters) above the ground. It built at the cliff-side of Tianmen mountain. You will take an eco-friendly bus driving on the ‘99 Bends’ mountain road.

Driving to Fenghuang from Zhangjiajie on highway in the morning (It takes 3.5 hours). You could take a boat ride on Tuo River and appreciate the beautiful river and the ancient town. Walking up and down both sides of Tuo River and enjoying the harmonious atmosphere in the ancient town. Get relax while watching the rows of traditional wooden houses built on stilts and looking at what the local people do. At night you will see the different beautiful view of the town. You will see the gorgeous lit up buildings and bridges.

D 5: Fenghuang to Longji Rice Terraces (Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces)
Driving to Longji Rice Terraces from Fenghuang in the morning (It takes about 6 hours. It is 370 km between these two places by car). Longji Rice Terraces also names Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces. It located in Longji Town, Longsheng County, Guilin City, Guangxi Province. It's the most popular attraction in Guangxi province, China.The terraced fields are built along the slope winding from the riverside up to the mountain top, between 600 to 800 metres (2,000 to 2,600 ft) above sea level. A coiling terrace line that starts from the mountain foot up to the mountain top divides the mountain into layers of water in spring, layers of green rice shoots in summer, layers of rice in fall, and layers of frost in winter. The terraced fields were mostly built about 650 years ago. Longji Rice Terraces consists of 3 main parts. They are Rice Terraces of Ping'an Village, Rice Terraces of Jingken Dazhai Village and Rice Terraces of Longji Ancient Zhuang Village. You will take a cable car up to the mountain top for getting a panoramic view of the rice terraces in Dazhai village. And you will also visit Ping'an Village as well.

You will have a full day visit .including the following places: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park Zhangjiajie's main tourist draw is the Wulingyuan Scenic Area, which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list for its lush vegetation, unique sandstone pillars, pristine waters and a wide variety of species of flora and fauna.
You can take a cable car to Huangshizhai where you will appreciate the daunting rock columns. From the top, enjoy spectacular views of the forest with rough landscape.
Another scenic spot is the Jinbian Brook. It covers a distance of 7.5 km from north to south, winding across mountains and valleys. The brook is limpid through the year and is famous for Jinbian Cave-which has a height of 382km and looks like a huge flying eagle.
You will also have chance to explore the Huangshi Fort. It is a mesa higher on the north side elevated by stiff cliffs. Huangshi Fort has the most of marvelous view of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park including Treasure Box of Heavenly Books, Magic Sea-suppressing Needle, South Pillar of Heaven, Golden Tortoise Watching the Sea etc.

You will continue to visit the Tianzi Mountain today. Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve is a mesa in the northwest of Wulingyuan. Up on the mesa, the field of vision is widely opened up and it is a perfect location to have a panoramic view of the nature reserve. Tianzi Mountain has four scenic wonders, namely Cloud Billows, Moon Brightness, Sun Glow and Winter Snow. The cloud billows are ever changing, morning and evening sun glows vast sky, moon shines in the still night, winter snow falls enchanting the scenery, like a lyric, like a landscape painting.
After the tours, you will be transferred to airport to take flight and fly back to Guangzhou.
