Here are severa sites you need to go in Yushu,
1, The three rivers national nature reserve, that is, the Yellow river, the Yangtze river, and the mekong river.
2,The temple of princess Wencheng of Tang Dynasty.
3, Kekexii reserve park. It's the paradise of wildlife. If you are explore the wild nature in the very west of china, it's the very place.

Yushu is a traditonal kham region. The town has multi-ethnic. Most inhabitants there are tibetans while most of the han people are doing business there. It has over 250,000 people. It's over 800km from xining. There is no directly train from Xining to Yushu. Howver, there is freight and buses. The horse fair is one the most festival in Yushu.
