Spring Like 0

We travelled to LUOYANG in August 2015. 

Actually we did not want to take an organized tour with a group , instead we tried to plan our own individual tour. If you do not want to spend too much time in restaurants, in visiting tourist traps, then stay away from the organized ( often cheap to attract tourists ) tours.

Be prepared that thousands of other tourists want to visit the same place at the same moment with you. Your definition of “crowds” will change after your trip to China.
The same applies for traffic conditions. It is very important to rely on a tour guide who knows the area very well. Planning is very important to make best use of your available time and to have a tour in line with your health conditions and interests.

Spring could not have done better

He  invested so much time (even before confirming the tour) which helped a lot to organize a fantastic trip.
I remember that we sent already so many messages that we become friends before arriving ;-)

He  has a vast knowledge of the area and the history.
Explanations we got were very well balanced, enough but not overloaded and all questions were answered. 
He is a well-educated person with good language skills (English), very polite and organized but still funny. (which is important, you are on holiday, no ? )

We had a great time together and learned a lot about local life and habits as well.

One important thing I really want to mention is that traffic in China is very, very special. You might be used to traffic jams, to sometimes dangerous maneuvers from you home country, but forget about this when you come to China, especially the country side.
You will understand why you should not drive yourself. You have many overloaded trucks, speedy buses, many cars, thousands of bikes and pedestrians using every available inch of space in all possible directions – at moments you can be scared. Most  of the accidents in China happen because of bad driving skills.

So, it is important that not only you have a good guide but also a good experienced driver with a clean car in perfect technical conditions !  This was the case, we felt very secure.

So when you book with Spring, I can say that the car we had and the driver were excellent  and always on time from pick up at the train station upon arrival ( at 6 in the morning !! ) until departure in the evening.

Unfortunately China is very far away from our home and we will probably never meet again in our life, but we will never forget the time spent together.

Before I visited Zhengzhou in the period from the 17th to the 24th of September 2015, I already had intensive e-mail contact with Spring. He always replied promptly. On the advice of a colleague of his and because Spring seemed sincere and friendly to me, I decided to make use of his services. His knowledge of the tourist places like Millennium Park in Kaifeng, White Horse Temple and Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang and the Shaolin Temple was in-depth. I also asked Spring in addition to these regular tourist spots to bring me to some unsual and special places in the south of Henan province. Although those places I wanted to visit weren't regular tourist spots and very far, he was prepared to bring me there. Also, he studied in the matter and he was well prepared fo fullfill my wishes. Although on one of the point of interest no audience was admitted, he did all possible effort in order to get me inside by calling all instances. Thanks to his tenacity we were allowed to enter the place. He had also ensured that I got an upgrade from my hotel room because of a malfunctioning airconditioning. I enjoyed those visits very much, despite the large distances we had to travel. Thanks to the cautious driving of his colleague we arrived safely on all of our destinations. That's something I really appreciated. Spring is young, smart, lively and eager to learn also. The next time I'll visit Zhengzhou, Luoyang and Kaifeng again, I will surely ask Spring to accompany me again. Simply the right man on the right place.

We called him the day before the tour and he arranged everything for a nice one day trip to Shaolin Temple and the Longmen Grottoes. He picked us up from the train station, showed around, drove us to the places we wanted to see and answered all questions we had. It was a lovely day and we will surely go with Spring again one day we come back to Luoyang. We can recommend Spring as a reliable, nice and helpful tour guide.

He fixed up my business meetings on phone with top factories of Xuchang and Yuzhou city, and in the meetings he respond smartly in front of senior officials. We had the chance to tour with Spring on our China trip to Luoyang aand see the Shaolin Temple and Longmen Grottoes. Being a public holiday it was extremely busy getting to the locations but Spring was composed and we managed to see most of the locations. A fun and interesting tour. We also meet his teacher who ended up joining us and it was great to learn more of China. Everything was organised from the first email reply which was great.
