Just wanted to express my sincere thanks for the arrangement and great driver you hooked us up with. he was really good ! The catholic church was great, seeing those Tibetans on Easter Sunday was indeed impressive! Many thanks for making this trip possible.

Ilian is a wonderful guide, more like a travel companion than anything else. His language and cultural skills are unparalelled, the fact that he was brought up in Beijing has obviously given him the background to deal with most situations, and his fluency and good natured ways put all around him at ease. The last trip with him took us to areas where few local Chinese ever go, never mind foreigners, a backdoor trek to a sacred mountain. A cross between a Taoist sage and an urban sophisticate, i cannot recommend his services more highly.

In 2010 I traveled with Ilian around Yunnan province, China. I had the opportunity to experience a great part of the culture that is in this vast and remarkable province. Having Ilian as a guide made my trip all the more exciting. Ilian has lived in China for more than a decade and a half and has gained a rich knowledge of the culture, history and traditions of China and the different minorities that live in Yunnan. His experience in traveling trough these areas of China is astonishing, giving me a great deal of comfort and confidence.  Ilian’s relaxed character and excellent organization skills made the trip an unforgettable journey for me.
