We have just returned from a trip to Beijing with our son 10 and our daughter 8. We stayed in Beijing for 8 nights and booked Rain to guide for us for 3 days.

We found Rain through ST and made contact with her via her email address. Her pre-trip communication was excellent, we always felt confident that she had told us everything we needed to know and was up front about her costs.

She made suggestions as to where we should visit during our stay and was happy to accommodate our requests too.

She arranged airport pick up and drop off for us which was so welcome as we arrived and departed Beijing at 2am!

Her english was great and she was very knowledgeable. She made sure the tour was suitable for our kids and she was fantastic when she answered their questions.

She included in the tour, visits to local eateries and a lunch and dumpling making with a local family in the hutongs. We even had a great visit to a local market where we got to sample lots of local breakfast specialities which we absolutely loved.

Rain was busy on our days but she took care of us anyway. Had a great driver pick us up at the Taijin International Port and drive us to Beijing. She arranged for tours while in Beijing, and finally, arranged for a drive to the airport at 5am! All this was made effortless by her expertise. She speaks an amazing English that allows her to communicate without any difficulty. I will definitely use her again when in China, and recommend her to everyone interested in hiring the best guide in China.

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Rain on our recent trip to Beijing. We could not of enjoyed Beijing without Rain as our tour guide. Rain knowledge , flexibility and her energetic personality was a perfect fit for us. We also had Rain take us to the Great Wall Mutianyu Section and her driver was good also. Rain also was a great help in planning our trip via e-mails. My advice to anyone traveling to Beijing is you need a local guide and we were very happy with our services provided by Rain. First time using Synotrip we found Rain, I'm a bit skeptical of reading reviews but, hey
you got to start somewhere. Where do I start then? We found her to be pretty good and deserving of her ratings. Her knowledge and history of Beijing's site is excellent, as well as her communication in english, and like most reviewers mentioned, fast email response. The trip was made in December which was freezing cold, though this meant the sites were less crowded. We had an amazing journey from Tiananmen Square through Forbidden City to Summer palace and Temple of Heaven. Sadly we only had two days so the second day was mostly spent at the Great Wall, Mutianyu section. If you only visit Beijing once, these are the must see places. If you are looking for non typical places to visit, Rain
will deliver on this too.

Overall I felt safe and happy throughout my trip and if you are looking for a private tour, then I would highly recommend Rain.

We just returned from our trip to the Far East. We had booked Rain several months in advance to be our private guide for 4 days as we had read so many great things about her and we didn't want to be disappointed. And we certainly were not! She was an excellent guide, was always on time, spoke very good English and was extremely knowledgeable. She met us at our hotel every day. We wanted to see the main sites as we had never been to Beijing before. We had an option to travel by subway or if we wanted a private driver, she was able to arrange that too. She took us to many venues, such as the Great Wall (the Mutianyu entrance as it was less busy), the Summer Palace, the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the Temple of Heaven, just to name a few. She also arranged for pick up from the airport which eased our stress of getting to the hotel and also arranged for a driver to take us to meet our cruise ship in Tianjin. She recommended restaurants to us which were fab for Peking Duck and showed us where it was and took us to a great restaurant for Dim Sum. She helped us with buying entrance tickets to sites and also when travelling by subway. We were sad to leave her at the end of our stay in Beijing as she had become, in such a short time, just like family. We would highly recommend Rain for your visit to Beijing. We asked Rain for a two day tailor-made tour and that is exactly what we got. We covered all the attractions that were requested together with the history associated to each point of interest. We were not taken to a single souvenir shop and the only time we asked for a suggestion from Rain was for a nice lunch venue. Rain took us to a fabulous restaurant for lunch on Day 1 which was amazing and on Day 2 we had a private room in a more laid-back type of restaurant. Both choices were excellent and both were extremely good value for money. Rain's knowledge on many subjects was boundless and her patience, enthusiasm and honesty was very refreshing. She also suggested points of interest for our downtime which were unusual and fascinating. Our tour driver was Mr Hu who was very pleasant and a real gentleman. Our trip to Beijing was all the more unfogettable because of Rain. Thank you Rain. Linda & the girls
