I approached Julia online when we wanted to travel the silk road. We planned to start in Xi'an and finish in Qeimo and so gave Julia a rough itinerary as we wanted short travelling days (aprox 4 hours) and worked out places to stay with that in mind. We had a small budget, great distance to go and a big wish list and prefer some smaller roads rather than always drive on a highway. julia was so patient with us and addressed all our questions and gave good suggestions. She was always in touch with our driver so any problems that arose were quickly dealt with. As we ended up in some remote areas we were able to truly interacted with the locals, even joining in with farmers working, tasting crops being harvested, being offered to share a meal or snack or join in a dance. Both Julia and our driver were kind and generous to us and we cannot thank Julia enough for this unique experience. Read less

It was my pleasure to engage Julia for a one day private tour on a recent stopover in Beijing. This was my first visit to Beijing and only having a few hours, before boarding a flight to France, I decided on a drive around tour. The weather was dismal and very wet, so I did not to walk around, just be driven and receive information about Beijing from a very informative Julia. Julia’s English is excellent and her knowledge of Beijing cannot be faulted. We stopped at a mall for lunch eating some traditional Beijing foods, before being driven back to my hotel. Read less

Julia was my guide in Wuhan during September 2018. I came with my husband and wanted to tour the city while he had meetings to attend. Julia answered our emails right away and asked what I would like to see. I did not know anything about Wuhan, so we asked her to make the schedule. She sent us a proposed itinerary and we agreed. She met me at my hotel and provided a driver who dropped us off at each site we went to see and picked us up the moment we were done. I give Julia my highest recommendation and would not hesitate to encourage anyone who wants to travel to China to contact her. She answered all of my questions and gave me as much time as I wanted at each site. She is pleasant and is fun to be with. Her English is amazing. Read less

we spent three days with julia as our guide recently in beijing. all i can say is that we had the most excellent time with her. she is personable as well as being knowledgeable about the sights. we did not know that she had been a guide for the olympics, but it was a total bonus for us.she was amazing at helping us find good restaurants, as well as any other requests that we had.she was great at adapting to our schedule and never had a problem with any changes that we made. i would highly recommend her as a guide and would undoubtedly use her again if visiting china again. i dont think you can go wrong hiring her as your guide.
