G-Victoria Tailor Made Tour in China Like 0

I will describe Victoria and her service in 3 words, although I could write a book on how pleased I am with her talent and wonderful ability! Outgoing: Victoria has such a sweet nature and a fun sense of humor! She works so well in small groups and takes a personal interest in her clients. We had MANY laughs with her which made our time twice as enjoyable! Resourceful: Victoria is extremely tech-savvy and is able to put her Iphone to work assessing options on-the-fly as circumstances change or as group dynamics require. We planned on taking a taxi from Chengdu to Lashan Buddha mountain but a quick check with her other Tour Guides in her network revealed an important detail: road construction would have delayed us significantly. Instead, she suggested we take the bullet train (which we had always wanted to do anyway!) and she TOTALLY saved the day, as we had another tour to accomplish after Lashan. In moments, she made reservations and purchased tickets and we were on our way via a different route. Also, she very efficiently made arrangements with our next tour guide to meet them at a different location as our later arrival would have caused us to miss the whole tour. SO impressed at her display of initiative and forethought as well as her use of available resources! Knowledgeable: Victoria LOVES Chinese history and is able to explain any aspect of it in great detail. She is a true professional and shared with me that she spends much of her downtime reading history books in the library. SO impressive! She also enjoys teaching her language to those willing to learn and will patiently teach them as much as they would like to know. Kindhearted: Victoria very thoughtfully provided food for us on one tour, and on another tour provided a shawl for my elderly Mother-In-Law. We were just awestruck at how she takes a personal concern for the welfare of her clients and goes far above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable under all conditions. As I mentioned earlier, I could write a book about my fantastic experience with this wonderful, bright young woman and very much look forward to hiring her for another tour! Read less

Victoria, organized a 2-day tour for us visiting the main attractions of Xian, and we are very happy and pleased with the service she gave us. She is a very professional, kind and careful girl. She included all the details that I requested and achieved in a very short time!!! : ) So we are really very pleased with her service. Our tour was a success and we would not have been able to know everything we saw of Xian without his help. She also knows very well the history of China, and offers during the tour a lot of historical information that enriches and makes more interesting the places that we visited. Victoria took us on a tour of the warriors today and she was fantastic, she was enthusiastic and full of interesting information and facts. We are a group of 6 family trip. we got picked up from speed train station and drop off at Airport. We had an awesome 2 full days jam-packed activities tour. Tang Dynasty Night tour, Terra Cotta Warriors, Huaqing Palace, Banpo Village. Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Ancient City Wall, Great Mosque,Tuktuk night market foods tour. A great visit to Saige Shopping Center, 3 floorrs of restaurants/eateries. Oh, also night time body/foot massage too. Victoria gave three of us a private tour of terra-cotta warriors, a cave home, and Emperor Jingdi's tomb. This was exactly what we wanted and she was an outstanding guide. The mausoleum with the terra-cotta soldiers is a world treasure. This was the centerpiece of the day. Victoria took us through at the pace we wanted, giving plenty of information about what we were seeing. The cave home stop is a quick look, all that is needed. We then asked her to choose a lunch place. It was terrific - small, local, and including the region's famed noodles. Our final stop, Emperor Jingdi's tomb, was pleasant for its sense of a different time - but most of all because of Victoria's explanations. That is the main point: having a guide like Victoria is the reason to do a tour like this. She is extremely knowledgeable about history - Chinese but also western - and brought the locations alive. She speaks excellent English and was fun to be with. This tour was a highlight of our trip to China. Read less
