When we arrived at Antananarivo airport, there was a parade celebrating the Madagascar soccer team which made it impossible to pick us up by car. The traffic was unbelievable. JC managed to make us feel calm and took the opportunity to tell us about the culture and the reason behind the celebration. After that, we all decided to walk to the hotel from the airport (through the parade with huge luggage). That turned out to be one of the best experiences we've had. JC made us feel like we are very welcomed and safe. He took care of everyone very well. He knows all the local guide and was very friendly to everyone. He also knows a lot of secret places which saves us a lot of time. His tour is very well planned and executed despite the unforeseen circumstances. My partner and I went on a 10 day tour of Madagascar with Jean Claude. He booked everything, was very flexible and made sure we got to do everything we wanted to (and more!). The tour Jean Claude designed for us was more than we could have ever dreamed of. It was an excellent introduction and an outlook to every aspect of this magical country, whether it was driving through the capital city or little villages, hiking in rainforests and spotting rare animals in their natural habitant or petting all kind of different lemur species. We also loved the part of the tour that included boatride and would highly recommend to take the night tour in Le palmerium to see highly endangered aye-aye, which is super rare to meet in the wild. All of the hotels we stayed in during the tour were very decent and beyond our expectations, since we had a low budget trip. We especially liked Orania, Le palmerium and Eucalyptus Hotel - the surrounding of these hotels was absolutely remarkable. Our special thanks and praise goes to all what regards to the three of you - you, Martin Toubi and your son Tomi. Thanks to you the tour was such an ease for us. Everything was always under control and organised, response to all of our questions were quick, we felt very safe during the whole tour and every request we had was complied. All in all, we are very satisfied with the tour and happy we chose Jean Claude to organize it - everything went supersmooth from the day I first wrote him. I had a two week tour with Jean Claude in October of 2019. It honestly went just about perfectly! Jean Claude met me and my friend right on time at the airport exactly as planned. He had a good, safe driver with a decent car, had us all booked in plenty adequate hotels. What I really recall well too is his fun personality and great humor as well as the driver. Despite some of the drives being a bit long and tedious we all had a great time. Also Jean Claude speaks reasonable enough English so communication was no problem either. We were treated with respect and there were no unexpected negative surprises or over charges. Anyone booking a trip with this guide will be very satisfied. Madagascar is a unique and very interesting country with much to enjoy. Read less
