Hi there:)

My name is Yanni, which means beauty in Chinese, my father wished to become a beautiful woman when I grow up, hopefully, I didn' let him down :P

You can just call me Jenny :)

I am a newcomer to this website, therefore, I haven't had any reviews here. But in fact, I am very experienced in touring(both in food and cultural), business interpreting. I was born and grown up in Shanghai, China and spent my 20s in the states, thus I also speak perfect English. If you want to pick up some Shanghainese I am happy to teach!

I enjoy showing my local culture and food to my foreign friends, I have designed a couple of food tours that cover restaurants only known by locals in Shanghai! Compared to other tour guides, I focus more on food and drinks in Shanghai, as these two are so important in my life.

And of course, I can very professional at any business occasion due to my MBA background.

Interpreter 25 USD/ hour up to 2 people, more than 2 people I will charge 15 USD for each person. A day means 8 hours

I met Jenny in 2017 at my first business trip to Shanghai. She was assigned to be the tour guide for our team(people of 5). We definitely had a wonderful time with her. Jenny’s knowledgeable, outgoing and friendly, and since she speaks perfect English so we did not have any language barrier, which was a big plus. The guide I had in 2017 was mainly a food tour. Jenny showed us a couple of authentic Shanghai restaurants in the downtown area, and eating with Jenny was more than food tasting, as she explained the cultural meaning behind each dish. She is was very passionate about sharing her culture and food to others, and the restaurant she took us all deserved a 5 star, they were not expensive, but very authentic we could never find those restaurants without her! I believe she would be a great asset of your tour company, I am pretty sure that she can make every customer enjoy his or her tour. Read less
