We were a couple on a 6 days trip to Sri Lanka and we made out tour with Ranga. With had an initial idea on what to visit (Kandy, Sigiriya and few days of relax in Bentota,...) and Ranga adjusted the tour to make this work and improve it. Ranga was very helpful and attentive during all our stay. He was there always punctually waiting for us and drove as safely everywhere (Sri Lanka roads are not the safest roads of the world) with his clean and AC equipped car, from the tourist landmarks, restaurants to places to shop. He made also his role as shopping assistant . Even when my wife got sick for a couple of days, he found a pharmacy to buy some drugs. Ranga is very nice person that replies your qüestions and strives to make your stay in Sri Lanka even better. Read less

We have a five-day tour in Shri Lanka and it was amazing. When we write to Ranga, we already have a plan of our journey. And I want to notice that Ranga didn`t try to change it, as it can be, but only improved it. We stopped at place, that we even knew before, but it totally worth it.

Ranga bought us fresh fruit, answered all our questions and always was very kind and helpful. We have a very good time, talk about different things and laugh.

Besides he is very nice person, he has a good, always clean car with AC. He drives as safety as possible.

We wondered with our journey and highly recommend Ranga for other people.

 

Только что вернулись из 5-дневного путешествия по Шри-Ланке. Это было великолепно. Когда мы писали Ранге, у нас уже был готовый план путешествия. И хочу отметить, что Ранга не пытался его как-то изменить, своими предложениями только дополнил его. По его предложению мы останавливались в местах, о существовании которых даже не знали, и, оно, безусловно, стоило этого.

Ранга покупал нам свежие фрукты, отвечал на все вопросы, всегда был очень добр и вежлив. Мы отлично провели время, говорили о разных вещах и смеялись.

Кроме того, что Ранга отличный человек, в нашем распоряжении был хороший, всегда чистый автомобиль с кондиционером.

Мы очень довольны путешествием и рекомендуем Рангу всем, кто хочет посетить Шри Ланку.

(A month overdue)

Ranga was out chauffeur cum guide during a recent visit to Sri Lanka and we spent close to 10 days traversing the island in his company. He is a jovial, respectful and extremely punctual. He met us in Negombo the morning after we arrived and we went from there to Sigiriya- Anuradhapura-Pollanaruwa; Dambulla-Pinnawela-Kandy; Nuwara Eliya, Galle and nearby beaches and finished back in Colombo.

He speaks sufficient english and was also able to recommend great additions to our itinerary like the Batik factory, Spice plantation, Tea factory, Tuttle rehabilitation centre, scenic waterfalls and Buddhist temples along the way. He was respectful of our privacy and extremely accommodating to our last moment change in plans. We were also fortunate to meet his father (Mr. Ariyapala Weerasinghe) who is a very experienced and accomplished tour guide himself while in Galle.

We were able to come away with fantastic memories and also heightened understanding of Sri Lankan culture and tradition thanks to Ranga. I thoroughly recommend connecting with him without searching any further. 

PS : Ranga - you owe us photos of your brothers wedding. Hope to see you again some day, and do let me know if you get down to India!

I'm from Australia and just completed a 5 day tour with Ranga and my two friends. We had no problems at all. Ranga met us at our hotel in Colombo as arranged and we toured the north's many archeological sites and Mineraya Park before finishing in Kandy.

Ranga is friendly, punctual and speaks English well. His knowledge of the sites was impressive giving us great local and historical knowledge as we drove to each one.

His car is a station wagon and had plenty of room for our bags and was comfortable. Ranga's driving was exceptional. He was very safe in a country that has plenty of maniacs driving!

We will all recommend him to any of our friends who visit.

I'm from Thailand and apparently the first Thai customer for Ranga. I booked a 3-day tour to Colombo, Kandy, Dambulla and Sigiriya with Ranga. He is very accommodating and helped me plan my trip according to my earlier accommodation booking. (Because my trip was very short and I had booked my accommodation before, none of the tour companies in Colombo responded to me.) Ranga is patient and understanding. He picked me up from the airport at midnight, got the train ticket for me to Kandy the next morning while he himself drove from Colombo to meet me in Kandy. He is trustworthy and also a good communicator. Overall, I had a very pleasant and memorable trip with him. I could not have completed many things within 3 days without Ranga. I strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a tour guide to Sri Lanka.

We contacted Ranga very lasts minute, the night before we wanted to take our day trip, and he was very accomodating. He picked us up the following morning and took us to all the places we had wanted to go to plus a few extra things that were en route he thought were worth seeing. We went from Colombo to an elephant foundation where we could ride elephants, a spice plantation, a tea factory and to Kandy for the Buddah Tooth Temple. We also made some stops on route where there were good photo opportunities. Ranga also stopped and got us some fresh pineapple on the journey. He offered lots of information on the areas we were driving through, he was a very safe driver and was very friendly. When a monsoon rain storm started he walked to meet us in the temple and bring us umbrellas. A great day out at a competitive price with no hidden costs. Would definitely recommend!
