Our group of 38 people took a trip to the 3 places from November 24 to December 1 2014 by engaging Ms Tina Wang as our tour guide. We went to Jade Dragon Mountain, Black Dragon Pond, Tiger Leaping Gorge and Lijiang Old Quarter. The scenery is spectacular though the walking and climbing stairs took a heavy toll for us city folks. We enjoyed the exercise and fantastic scenery  very much. I find the loud music in Lijiang Old Quarter really spoilt the environment and ambience of the old city and many of us in the group do not like it. We wish the old city could retain the original ambience minus all the loud disco music.

The entrance fees are high about 80% of the cash we brought along were used to buy entries to the attractions. I think the Chinese Government need to consider this if we compared a dollar to a dollar this is even higher than many developed countries. In addition there are so many extras needed to be added on, it is quite a nuisance to keep up with all the different tickets.

The shopping in Kunming is very interesting and the Street Food recommended by our guide, Tina is delicious. We like the rou za mou which is very tasty. The traffic is terrible with the electric motor bikes coming in all directions, I really wonder how many accidents occur every day.

Tina has been most helpful for the trip and she is trustworthy. We have no hesitation  to recommend her to anyone who need a knowledgeable , reliable and honest guide.
