This is a much overdue review! I visited along with 2 other female friends in March and we had the most incredible experience!! Hakim came highly recommended to us by Peace Corp volunteers in the area. My friend booked with Hakim and as soon as we arrived to Merzouga Hakim kindly greeted us and drove us to the hotel.

The main hotel is beautiful! Although we didn’t sleep there we enjoyed delicious Moroccan mint team, amazing conversations and an incredible breakfast after our night in the desert.

My two friends and I got on our camels and were guided by Hakim and one of his staff. We had a great time on the trek and Hakim went out of his way to take pictures of us on the camels to make sure we captured the incredible experience!

Once at the camp site Hakim showed us where we would be sleeping - it was the most beautiful camp site I have ever seen. We enjoyed a delicious feast, listened to live music under the stars, danced the night away and shared incredible stories.

Hakim really went out of his way to ensure we were enjoying our trip and felt safe and comfortable!! I HIGHLY recommend you book with Hakim if you’re considering doing a trek - you won’t regret it!
