Vivie Like 0

May 2012 we spend 3 days with Vivie around Beijing. We were hiking on the great wall, visited Chuandixa village and went to the Ming Tombs and the Summer Palace.

She was an excellent driver and guide and we enjoyed her company very much. She gave us a lot of  useful information. She contributed a lot to the success of our stay in Beijing.

We hired Vivie to be our city tour guide in Beijing for May, 2012.  We looked forward to exploring Beijing on our own, but we also wanted to find a city guide to show us around some of the major attractions for a couple of days and to help us get our bearings.

Vivie was extremely helpful from the beginning. She helped us schedule our first two days so we knew what to expect.  She told us this would be flexible which we appreciated.  She offered us airport pickup and drop-off which we gladly accepted since we were arriving late at night and departing early morning.

She took us to several major attractions in our two days with her.  We found Vivie to be very punctual and spoke English very well.  She was also very informative about the historical sites we visited.  Vivie was very friendly and we were very at ease with her.  She also took off the beaten track a few times which we enjoyed.

Vivie went above and beyond for us.  She obtained tickets for us for an acrobats show and Chinese opera and through her connections was able to get us great seats.  In another instance, we accidentally left a souvenir with the person who drove us back to the airport.  By the time we had gotten home, she was already aware of it and assured us it would be mailed to us.

Vivie is an excellent tour guide who is truly committed to her clients and we will recommend her to all of our friends, family and others who want to have a memorable experience in China and Beijing.

Vivie Pan was our personal tourguide for Beijing on April 2012.  We didn't like to join a group tour, so I was stressed to find a good guide, when I was so busy with lots of office work. I was so relieved when I was able to book Vivie more than a month in advance.

We arranged for airport transfers, and even requested her to buy us a China SIM card in advance, which she did.

She is very fluent in English and Mandarin, young, cheerful, energetic, prompt and very knowledgeable about the sites we visited, and a good driver. She knows the zigzags of Mutianyu Great Wall very well, and was patient with all our time consuming picture taking sessions.

Overall we are happy and satisfied with the days she escorted us around.

But I would like to impart some pointers for improvement :

Refrain from changing anything that was agreed upon, an example would be, tour dates which were already fixed months ahead, just because you have to favor an old client.

Don't accept too much client requests, or be too busy with much "multi-tasking" , without knowing it, your service to your client of the day will suffer.

Tourists value their time, days are limited. So its always "Rain or Shine" the tour must go on.

Although there are some slight hitch with her service, she has an optimistic attitude about her, and I know that she will take the above pointers to heart. The important thing is that she is a trustworthy, and hardworking person. I believe she has potential to be a great guide and we wish Vivie, success in her chosen career. I would not hesitate to recommend her to my friends.

We had fantasic two day in Beijing on April 2012 with Vivi. She is very profation, perfect for independent  tourist who want to fit their own plan. And by the way - she is an exelent driver.

Vivie accompanied us on 3 days ( 14/4,15/4 and 16/4) in and around Beijing . Each time she was punctual when meeting us at our hotel.In addition, she is knowledgeable about the different places we went to and gave interesting explanations and answers to our questions . She made us feel at ease and there was no pressure to rush during the visits. Vivie is the ideal guide we would recommend as she has all the qualities required for her profession- she speaks fluent English, is sharp, patient and discrete.   

During a trip to China in March/April 2012 we used several tour guides, and I can honestly say Vivie Pan excels them all.  Prior to leaving for this trip, Vivie patiently answered my many questions by email.  From the beginning, during the planning of my itinerary, she was knowledgeable, honest and open about the various places I wanted to see and the costs involved.  I felt confident that my short time in Beijing would be a memorable one. Vivie met us on time at our hotel, very well prepared with each day planned out for us.  It was nice and reassuring. Her command of English is excellent, and she is a warm, caring, considerate person -- a real pleasure to be with as she is always cheerful and happy  Her knowledge of Chinese history, culture and the Dynasties is remarkable.  She made special arrangements for us in getting train tickets to Beijing, and delivered them to us personally, even though we were not using her services that day, then she twice took us to the Pearl market, as it was on her way home.  She had a perfect itinerary worked out for us, but was also flexible when necessary.  She led us with ease through crowds at the various sites, and was even able to avoid some of the crowd by taking us the 'back way'.

Thank you Vivie, we have wonderful memories for many years to come.  I look forward to seeing you again. I am recommending you as a guide to all of our friends interested in visiting Beijing. Thanks again and best wishes for you in Beijing.
