Tea plucking ladies working in tea plantations are Indian Tamils.when the British started grow tea in Srilanka they brought many tamil workers from south India.still these workers comes from the first indian groups brought by British.

Rice is the main dish of Srilanka.whole around the country there is many rice fields.specially they are located in north central,sabaragamuwa,uwa and north west provinces.most of the farmers use modern technics while some are still using  traditional methods.
