Whilst most Chinese people know the saying - born in Suzhou, live in Hangzhou, eat in Guangzhou and die in Liuzhou, some of the local food specialties in my hometown are very unique (although they can't rival food from Guangzhou)!
'Luo Si Fen' (螺蛳粉) is widely available around Liuzhou and is a snail soup with noodles. Beware though, you'll probably need a beer or something to drink (unless you're okay with spicy food) as the soup is very spicy! Aside from the snail soup and noodles, they also usually come with peanuts, bamboo shoots and some vegetables and even better its not expensive!
If you intend to visit Liuzhou, let me introduce you to Luo Si Fen to try for yourself!
Happy eating :)
