Today  I worked as business assistant guiding customers around Guangzhou for business. This time my customers are from South Africa.

And i passed xiao bei, yuexiu distrcit, Guangzhou. it is a big trade market, it have a Lot of trade companies. No matter what kind of products you want to purchase, here have, As usual, it is for the African and Arabic customer, you can see many foreign people here.  

In my photos, you can see motors,lights, clothes, bags ect.......Also you will find all the copy in Guangzhou is from that area. There is a special building which sell high copy. So I guide them there which they can find everything they need for high copy such as sunglasses,perfume,jeans,handbags,T-shirts,shoes etc.They enjoy shopping there and bought many small stuff for themselves as the prices are very cheap compared to their country(10times cheaper). Sometimes you will even find very cheap items because the shop is doing clearance. In this case,please do not hesitate to get some as you get a good bargain already.

Lying next to Hong Kong and Macau, Guangzhou is aware of its commercial development. The biannual Canton Fair adds to the commercial atmosphere. To tourists, the city is really a 'Shoppers' Paradise'.
If a friend comes to Guangzhou from afar, Cantonese will take him/her to walk around the Shangxia Jiu Lu and Teem Plaza area. Just like the Wangfujing in Beijing, the Town God's Temple (Chenghuang Miao) in Shanghai and the Confucius Temple in Nanjing, Shangxia Jiu Lu is the most influential traditional commercial street there.

Shangxia Jiu Lu Pedestrian Street is located in the Liwan District of Xiguan, a prosperous traditional commercial district. It is the first commercial pedestrian street in the city. Walking into this street, you will see the featured Qi Lou, an old building style that exists in this city and its neighboring areas, on both sides of the road. It reflects the strong Lingnan Culture. On this street lie more than 200 stores, especially those brand name restaurants and teahouses open here. From 13:00 to 21:00 on weekends and holidays and on every night, Shangxia Jiu Lu is restricted to pedestrians only.

Be sure to go to Shangxia Jiu Lu. Even if you don't buy anything, just walking along it you will feel the cultural atmosphere there with Qi Lou on both sides.

Guzhen is true to its name as the “Capital of LED in China”. Crossing the boarder of Foshan to Zhongshan, a vast array of LED factories, wholesale markets, shops came to our eyes. There are lots of LED markets in different sizes locating in Guzhen. Most are direct from factories in town or in Henglan town nearby.

We stopped in the center of Guzhen, and took stroll around the markets selling LED parts, shops on both sides of the road and markets selling lights, led transformer, etc.

Normal office hours in Guangzhou are 9am – 5pm or longer (depending on the kind of business) on weekdays, and 9am – 1pm on Saturdays. Major Banks are open 9am – 4:30pm on weekdays, and 9am – 12:30pm on Saturdays. Closed Sundays and public holidays.
Some shops are open every day throughout the year, some only closing during the Chinese New Year holiday. Because the people don’t’ celebrate the Christmas day in Guangzhou, so that the shops and the restaurant still opening.
Generally, opening hours are 10 am-6pm (Most of the Guangzhou wholesale Markets close at 6 PM). However, many stores in busy retail areas like Beijing Lu, Shangxiajiu lu and the shopping mall like the Teemall, open until 9:30 AM and close at 10-11PM
Most restaurants stay open until 11pm or later, while some bars and clubs in areas keep going through the night.

There are two genera of olive in a city of Guangzhou named Zengcheng. White olive and black olive are two special local fruits in Guangzhou. The city Zengcheng is not only famous for olives but also well known for litchi. White olive can be processed into all kinds of fruit snacks. Black olive is one of the four treasures in Zengcheng City. There other three are Gualu Litchi, Simiao Mi and Liangfen Cao. The black olive is useful from head to foot. Its flesh can be prickled as a savoury dish and also can press oil. Olive kernel can made into dishes and is a wonderful ingredient for snacks. Olive core as a famous material for arts has a history of more than 300 years.
