Tokyo Skytree is one of the Tokyo landmarks. It is a television broadcasting tower 634 m high. At its base there are located a large shopping center and an aquarium There are two observation decks on the tower at 350 and at 450 m of height which makes them the highest observation desks in Japan.
Tembo deck is located at 350 m and Tembo Gallery is at 450 meters. The top floor offers a 360 degree view of the city. There are elevators which take visitors to their desired floor. There are several ways of buying tickets which can be read on the Sky Tree official website.

Osaka Castle is one of the most important castles built in the 16th century on the grounds of the former Honganji Temple. This castle was the largest castle at the time of its construction. It was destroyed in the 17th century and soon rebuilt.
Its main tower suffered several damages. In the 1130s the main tower was improved with iron constructions. The Castle is home to the museum dedicated to the history of the castle. Other than citadels, gates, and stone walls, the castle has a beautiful Nishinomaru Garden with 600 cherry trees and a tea house. 
The Castle was recognized as a historic site. Even though the castle and Osaka are beautiful during the entire year, the best time to visit the castle is during the spring time when 600 cherry trees in the garden are covered with flowers. The admission fees are higher during the cherry blossom period.

Meiji Jingu is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shaken. The shrine has spacious grounds with walking paths. The original building was erected in 1926 but it was destroyed during the World War II. The new building was fiished in 1958. The shrine and its grounds cover 700,000 square meters. There are two major areas of the shrine territory: Naien and Gaien. There is the Jingu Treasure Museum, the Museum Annex Building, and variety of sports facilities. In the Inner Garden is located Kiyomasa´s Well which is a popular ´spiritual spot´. It is free to enter the shrine but there are admission fees to enter other facilities.

Kiyomizudera Temple was founded in the late 8th century in the wooded hills east of Kyoto and today is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its present buildings are constructed in the first half of the 17th century. The name Kiyomazudera means ˝Pure Water Temple˝ and it got its name from the waterfall within the complex.
The main hall with its veranda has an amazing view on the city. Otowa waterfall in the three channels falls into a pond. Each stream of water has its own meaning. The complex has also the Okunion Hall and Koyasu Pagoda. The nature and view around the Temple are beautiful and visitors can enjoy them as well as buy souvenirs which offer is especially good during festival days.

Fushimi Inari Taisha is located in southern Kyoto and it is one of the most important Shinto shrines in the city. It owns its popularity to thousands of vermillion torii(gates) which lead to the wooded forest of the sacred Mount Inari. Inari is the God of rice and this shrine is the most important shrine dedicated to Inari. The main structure of the shrine is built in the late 15th century.
The walk to the top of the mountain and back lasts about 2-3 hours. Along the way there are several smaller shrines with smaller gates and restaurants which offer local dishes. A beautiful view over Kyoto stretches from the Yotsutsuji intersection which is located half way up the mountain.

Shibuya is one of 23 wards of Tokyo and one of the most colorful, popular and a very busy ward. On every corner one can see shopping centers, boutiques, restaurants, nightclubs and at every time of the day it is full of people.
One of most famous landmarks of Shibuya is the large intersection which is full with neon advertisements. Art House Project is a collection of houses, workshops, a temple, and a shrine that have been converted into art installations where one can see work of artists from all over the world. The Project is located in Honmura, a small town on Naoshima Island. There is the Honmura Lounge which serves as an information center for the Art House Project. The art houses are Kadoya where Miyajima Tatsuo displayed his art. Minamidera is designed by James Turrell. Haisha was a home and a desntist office and today there are located works of Otake Shiniro. Kinza is a small, 200 years old house, and visitors have to make reservations in order to enter. No more than one person at a time is allowed to enter Kinza, and for no longer than 15 minutes. Gokaisho is a traditionally designed building where one can see works by Suda Yoshihiro. Go´o Shrine is an old Shinto shrine designed by Sugimoto Hiroshi. Ishibashi was originally a house of a rich salt merchant, and now it houses works of Senju Hiroshi.

The Chureito Pagoda is a part of Arakura Sengen Shrine complex situated on the hill from where one can enjoy the most the beautiful view on Mount Fuji. The pagoda has five flors and it is very popular among people who love nature combined with culture.

Mount Fuji is one of the symbols of Japan and the image of Mount Fuji with its white top is world-wide known. Even though the view on Mount Fuji is spectacular enough many people decide to climb at the summit.
There are several routes and stations for climbers who are often seen in large groups walking towards the top. The climbing season lasts from July to August when many climbers decide to ascend Fuji during the night so that they could contemplate the sun rise in the morning.

Todaiji Temple complex is one of the most known Buddhist temples in Japan. The temple was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the largest wooden building in the world and it is also famous for the largest bronze Buddha statue.
The temple was constructed in the 18th century after the emperor Shōmu ordered the ordinary people to help the construction of the temple and of the Great Buddha..
Mostly because of earthquakes, the buildings and the statue were damaged and destroyed, as well as reconstructed several times.
Nandaimon Gate serve as entrance in the Todaiji complex where one can see deer walking freely. People are allowed to feed the deer with special food sold there.
There is also the Todiji Musuem opened in 2011 where visitors can see collections of religious and cultural value.
