Even though I personally wouldn't classify this park (Longtan Park) as a tourist attraction, since mainly locals were at the park, it's the best category available.  

A not-so-long time ago (mid-1980s), I was born in Liuzhou City and upon returning to this park over the weekend, I recalled early childhood memories of visiting Longtan Park.  Surprisingly, the Park itself hasn't changed too dramatically (unlike most things in China over the past 2 decades). The beautiful Lake remains beautiful. The children's dodgem cars and other 'theme park' rides remain. The people taking photos for their upcoming wedding(s) were present.  But the thing that was different was the people (or lack of).  When I was a young girl, people were everywhere, nowadays, it's a lot quieter. Maybe a sign of China's development.  Regardless, the park is surprisingly large and quite nice, especially in an Industrial City.

The street is bisected by another smaller street and "antique" stores prolife rate all over the small neighborhood. You can find just about anything from baskets to ceramics, Mao memorabilia, wood ware, inks-stones, embroderies , jade ware...

Most of the shop owner are living in the old house along the street. You can often see the older people sitting on the street playing  

Ma Jiang or chatting which can show you the real local people's life here. 

These days, in the Chinese country more and more young people liberated from farming. They go to  cities to try their fortunes, leaving the children and olds home. They only back twice or three times one year for harvest of crops or important traditional festivals. So, in some way the villages become"empty".

    Pagoda Forest of Shaolin Temple is at the north of Shaolin Temple, and it comprises of the tombs of eminent monks of Shaolin Temple generation by generation. For more links of Shaolin Temple, I strongly recommend you to read my ever passage named Shaolin Temple.  

    For the visitors who have been to Shaolin Temple and have seen Pagoda Forest, they all get amazed at the magnificance and spectacle of Pagoda Forest. There are three things I'd like to say especially about Pagoda Forest.     

    1. It comprises of the tombs of eminent monks of Shaolin Temple generation by generation. Once the eminent monk died, people put their bone ash or skeleton down into underground palace and then built a pagoda above the underground palace.    

    2. For the height and low, big and small, many and few of the layers of the pagoda, it depends on how many dedications and how much high reputation the monks have.     

    3. The modelling of pagodas forest include quadrate, hexagon, octagon, cylinder, rectilinear and so on.

    Today I'd like to tell something about Hometown of Yellow Emperor, which is located at Xinzheng, and Xinzheng is a small county which is affiliated with Zhengzhou, it lies not so far to the south of Zhengzhou City.    

    Hometown of Yellow Emperor was first established at Han Dynasty, and Xinzheng's Government expanded its establishment in the later days, and today it has become a saint place for the all the Chinese, especially for those who is all the way living overseas, to seek their roots and worship their ancestors.    

    Many Chinese will come here for seeking roots and worshiping ancestors every year at the Spring time.    

    I, hereby, give you some brief introduction of Yellow Emperor, Yellow Emperor is the earliest ancestor for all the Chinese, and the so called Chinese descendant, in Chinese called 炎黄子孙.

    Kaifeng Dragon Pavilion is a renowned tour destination of Kaifeng, just subordinate to Qingming River Park.

    Before introducing Dragon Pavilion, I'd firstly like to tell you something about Kaifeng, Kaifeng is a very famous city all around China, because it was the capital of China in ancient times, and Kaifeng was the capital of 7 Dynasties in Chinese history. In other words, we can definitely say Kaifeng is a city with a very long and very deep history.

    Zhengzhou Yellow River District is located at the northwest of Zhengzhou City, and Yellow River is adjacent to the District at the north, and you can have a look at Yellow River in Zhengzhou Yellow District.

    As far as I considered, I somewhat think that Zhengzhou Yellow River District is alike Yellowstone Park in North USA. In Yellowstone Park, you can see Rocky Mountains, waterfall and  geysers, and in Yellow River District, you can see Yue Mountain, and Yellow River.

    Yellow River is the largest river traversing China's mainland, and our Chinese call it as "Mother River", almost every Chinese love Yellow River very much.
