Back to year of 2008,I had chance to be a babysitter and the interesting thing is it is a foreign baby.I donot have any experiences to look after any baby yet, even chinese baby but now it comes to a foreign baby.So it is quit big challenge for me,especially when I was pretty young at that time(20years old only).
I was bit nervous in beginning when I visited the family and saw the baby. Her mum helped him take shower at first and he did not want to take clothes so he came out to me naked. It is summer time so it is ok. They have a big apartment and lots of toys for kids to play. So his mum left after taking the shower and left me with him alone. He was very naughty and showed big temper after his mum left. I tried to make him happy by giving him toys or showed him things but after a while he felt bored and started to cry. I did not know what to do when a kid cried but I tried my best to put him into sleep. After so long time he cried,he finally went to sleep. So I could take a deep breathe. After he slept, then my job is easy and I just waited his parents to come back home so I could leave. Finally after long time waiting, they are back so I walked very quiet and said goodbye to them. So the job is over.
Even though it is big tough for me at that time but I still enjoyed. Meanwhile I realized it is not easy to be a babysitter but it is good to have this experience. And life is all about experience

I went to South Africa to attend the exhibition in Jonhansberge back in 2010 and I met a customer there who is originally from Russia but he was born and lived in South Africa.
Few years later in 2012,he contacted me again to ask me if I can help him work as interpreter as he needs to attend a Domotex Show and also some factory visits.I agreed so he booked flight and hotels for me to come over to Shanghai to meet him(because I am based in Guangzhou). So as planned we met up again after few years and our friendship still keep the same and even better after a trip together.
We went to attend Domotex the second day after meet up and we enjoyed whole trip together.
Domotex Show is for flooring and carpet industry only.It is quite professional show which hold every year on March 22nd to 25th in Shanghai. So lots of professional businessman who are in this industry will fly over to attend this show in order to see whats new in market and find good suppliers here. I used to work in flooring factory so I am quite familiar with flooring business and products. So it is also very helpful for customers as he needs advise sometimes especially when it comes to the product quality. So I am not only working as his interpreter/assistant but also advisor. It was very good experiences working together and we all look forward to working together again when he comes back to China.
