Jinli Promenade
Right next to the Wuhou Temple is Jinli Promenade. Just walk through the large traditional gate and bring your wallet. Immediately on your left when you enter is the Sanguo Teahouse. Over 30 different kinds of tea and coffee are available and there is a wealth of cushy indoor and outdoor seating as well as private rooms. Prices are a little high at Y15-35/cup, but worth the ambience and quality of the tea.
At the end of the promenade a few artists draw caricatures right on the spot. You might be surprised to see an American, Kid Cardona, with a shop of his own there as well. He charges only Y30 for a caricature, and will gleefully chat up any English speaker. Crowds usually form around him as he draws, possibly because he is a foreigner, but probably because he is more talented than the other Chinese artists there.
There are a few restaurants in Jinli Promenade as well, but they are expensive and are likely no better than restaurants outside the promenade. In fact, if you turn right out of the promenade and walk past Wuhou Temple, there are a few very popular hotpot restaurants.

Day 1 - Arrive in Chengdu:
On arrival be transferred to your hotel, a leisure walk in Jingli Walking Street this afternoon, and you will watch traditional Sichuanese opera show this evening.
Day 2 - Chengdu:
This morning we will have a city tour to learn about the Daoism philosophy in Qingyang Daoist Temple, after that we move to People’s Park and join the locals’ laid-back life style, we will have a chance to play Mahjong and sip a cup of green tea at an traditional teahouse
Afternoon we drive to visit the seasonal flowers at Sansheng Village, we will conduct a short walk in the wetland park and have a glimpse of Landing Art District.
A Sichuananese dinner will be arranged in the village.
Day 3—Leshan Giant Buddha to Mt. Emei
En- route to Mt.Emei we stop to visit Leshan Giant Buddha, which is the largest single cliff Buddha Statue in China. Firstly we will walk up to the top of the hill to closely observe the Buddha Statue, and then we still have a chance to take the boat to take photos of it on the river
After our tour in Leshan Giant Buddha, we move to the bottom of Mt.Emei, if time permitted, we will visit Baoguo Temple
Day 4 – Mt.Emei Secret Walking Trail:
Today we will have a secret walking tour since this trail is only popular among the hikers.
We drive through countryside and mountainside villages to hike starting point; We will follow our local guide to hike Emei Mountain local trails to Ten Thousand Buddha Summit, which is about 4---6 hours hike, and enjoy sunset from the peak.
Overnight in the summit
Day 5 – Mt.Emei to Mt.Qingcheng:
Early in the morning we wait for the sunrise and clouds ocean, after taking some nice photos of nature, we take the shuttle bus to Wannian Temple, and we will follow the well paved stone steps up to Qingyingge, where will have a chance to see the famous aborigines---Emei Monkeys.
After that we descend to the bottom of Mt. Emei, take the car to Mt. Qingcheng
Day 6-Mt.Qingcheng
This morning we enjoy the fresh air in the virgin forest by walking up to Mt.Qingcheng, and also a Qingcheng Gongfu class will be arranged somewhere in the mountain.
Afternoon we move to the panda base nearby, to watch the loveable black and white Great Pandas
Day 7 – Mt Qingcheng to Chengdu:
En-route back to Chengdu we stop at Sichuan Cuisine Museum for private cooking lesson; and we also have a chance to explore those local villages by cycle, where are nearby the river. We will cycle on the green way along the river, crossing the orchard and farmlands to feel the country life in Sichuan
Late afternoon we go back to Chengdu, a fare well dinner is arranged in a local restaurant.
Day 8 – Depart:

Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1 Panda Base-Wangjiang Tower Park-Wuhou Temple-Sichuan opera
Morning 07:30 pick you up from your hotel and drive to Chengdu Panda Base (half an hour drive). You will catch pandas' feeding time, they are at their most active period. You can still see the Red Panda there too. Later watch the film at Panda Museum to know the panda's daily life, Baby getting birth, ect. ( Visiting 1.5-2hours). Drive back to Chengdu Downtown travel in Wuhou temple, and have local snacks for lunch at Jinli street, and have a short walk at old Jinli street.
Afternoon visit Wangjiang Tower Park, you'll stroll along the scenic paths to historic pavilions and halls built in memory of Xuetao, a female poet of the Tang Dynasty. The park is also home to Chongli Tower, with a four-story view of lush riverside bamboo and willows. Drink tea inside the park as local people do, then have the famous Sichuan hot-pot for dinner.
After dinner enjoy the cultural show - Sichuan Opera at Traditional Tea house, which lasts for 1.5 hours. Then drive back to your hotel.
Day 2 Jinsha site museum-The Thatched Cottage of Du Fu-Wenshu Monastery
Morning around 08:30 pick you up from your hotel, drive to visit Jinsha site museum which built on the orginal sites to show chengdu’s history can be tracked back to 3000 years ago. Then visit the Thatched Cottage of Du Fu, the former residence of a very famous Tang poet. Du Fu wrote more than 240 poems at this cottage reflecting the sorrows of the village. Have the local sichuan dishes for lunch.
Afternoon drive to visit the Wenshu Monastery. Then drive back to your hotel, end this wonderful tour.

Eel hotpot at Jili Promenade.
I went to Jili Promenade to have hotpot with my friends, and what impressed me is the eels, when the waitress served the dish, the eels still alive and you have to put them into the hotpot which the processing is kinda cruels and hard to catch the eels, some girls scream loud when i touched the eels and try to put them into pot.
