The Sun and Moon mountain is located 40 kilometers southwest of huangyuan county, Qinghai province, and east of qinghai lake. It is a branch of Qilian mountain ,which runs from northwest to southeast. It is 90 kilometers long and 10-15 kilometers wide, with an average elevation of about 4000 meters.The highest sea level is 4877m.

  In the history the Sun and Moon mountain  area is an important path of south branch of silk road.which passed by the Sun and Moon mountain,Qinghai lake ,Qaidam bason to west regions.In Tang dynasty this area became into one popular road to Tibet. The sun and moon mountain was once a witness to many historical events, such as the meeting of the alliance, peace, war, "tea , salt and horse trade" and so on.

  The sun and moon mountain is not only of great historical significance, but also of great geographical significance . It is located on the boundary between China's monsoon region and non-monsoon region, and on the overlapping area between the loess plateau and the qinghai-tibet plateau. It is also the natural boundary between the inner and outer basins of Qinghai province, dividing the farming civilization and the nomadic civilization .  

  Dan Geer ancient city is located in the huangyuan county in qinghai province and  in the north shore of the Yellow River, the west sea.It is away from xining city 40 km, well compared as the throat of Qinghai and  Tibet . Dan Geer  means white conch in Tibet language. The Dan Geer city used to be reputated as the trading capital and  little beijing,where the loess plateau and Qinghai-tibet plateau combined , farming culture and the grassland culture  intersected , Tang Fan road and south silk road went through and  many people gathered .

  Dan Geer Ancient city was built in Ming dynasty around 14 century.It was enlarged in  the qing dynasty .Now it covers an area of 250,000 square meters, has a history of over 600 years ago, and is an ancient historical and cultural city. In the city many old constructions still exist,such as  interweaved streets and alleys, the residential courtyards with unique structure, magnificent temples and monasteries, intact family firms ,different styles of HuangYuan lamp, and so on , which carries strong multicultural information, reflects the rich local national characteristics and the strange vision of farming and animal husbandry cultures intersection fusion.

Qinghai Lake is located at west of Xining city 160 km. In Mongolian language ""Qinghai hu" means blue sea. It is the largest salty lake and inland lake of China. It covers an area of 4583 square km. The average depth of it is 18.6m now.The sea level of the lake is 3196 m. It is about 360km to walk around it. Every year a special riding bycycle race is held around Qinghai lake. It is said in the legend that the Empress Wangmu of western heaven once came here and visited it. It is such a beautiful  and legendary place.

The people's park is the most popular park in xining, with tulip festival in June, ice sculpture exhibition in winter, and various recreational facilities, a good place to take a walk. There are all the sparrows here - the gym, fishing, dry ice, basketball, playground, night market, outdoor tea house and bar street. This place is called "artificial embroidery", the first of the new eight sceneries in xining.

Dongguan qingzhen temple is located in the dongguan area of xining city, which is home to the hui autonomous region since ancient times, and there are many muslims who believe in Islam. Dongguan halal big temple is the biggest mosque in qinghai province, and the famous xi 'an in northwest China sleep temple, lanzhou portal temple, xinjiang kashgar moxa tikal and called the northwest four big mosque, Abbey is the worship hall is the largest building in the temple, can accommodate 10000 people at the same time. The top of the temple is a treasure bottle of the Tibetan style, which is a gift from the lama temple of Lhasa, gansu province, only for the local mosque.

Xining is the capital city of Qinghai Province. It has a history of more than 2100 years , acting as a major stopover and trade center on the ancient Tang-Tibet Road and Silk Road. Xining is also called the "ancient city on the plateau". Honored as an excellent tourist city in China, Xining has been facilitated with great traffic means such as civil aviation , railways, high-speed and high grade highways. The well-known Qinghai-Tibet Railway is the predominant way to Lhasa. The urban infrastructure is continually functioning and being strengthened. If you fly to Qinghai from anywhere in the country, on average it takes less than three hours. As Qinghai's center of politics, economy, culture, science and communication, Xining has become the largest modern city in the Qinghai-Tibet plateau. 

Yushu locates in southwest part of Qinghai province. It belongs to the Tibetan autonomous prefecture. Due to it's high altitude, it's really cool at summer time. The annual tempeture there is below zero, so you need to take warm clothe even at ths time of the year.

Ta'er Monastery with over 600 years'history, located at Lusha'er Town,Huangzhong County, Xining City,Qinghai Province, is one of the 6 major monasteries delicated to Gelupa Sect of Tibetan Buddhism.

Featuring a grand architecture complex, Ta'er Monastery is a treasure house of culture and art with rich collection of excellent cultural artifacts. Butter sculpture, murals and appliqued embroidery are 3 treasures of the monastery.
