As a result of this, we have sampled this specific itinerary to suit families.  This Private Kenya Family Safari for just you and your family – visiting the most popular parks in Kenya, with interesting features for children and adults alike. It can be customized to suit you.

This is by no means exhaustive and should act only as a guide as to our flexible safari programs. Write to us with specific requirements and we shall be happy to work with you in creating a most memorable family safari. Important information to provide should include a number of children and their ages.

The prices quoted below are based on 2 adults (parents) and one child aged below 12 yrs. Again this is meant to give you a guide in your planning budget.

The safari features Amboseli National Park, Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary, Lake Nakuru National Park, Lake Naivasha, and Maasai Mara Game Reserve.

Visit the Nairobi National Park, Kenya’s oldest national park and the only one in the world that is situated amidst a capital city. 

It is not uncommon to see grazing herbivores, such as giraffe, wildebeest, eland, Thomson’s gazelle and many others grazing quietly with the distant high-rises of Nairobi as a backdrop. No other place in the world can you photograph free-roaming leopard, lion, buffalo, rhino and other animals in its natural ecology against a city skyline.  Of the big five, only the elephant is absent. 

The tour will include The Nairobi Safari Walk. 

Itinerary

Day 1

Our tour starts at Nairobi.

Depart for Ol- Pejeta conservancy arriving in good time for lunch in Sweetwaters Tented Camp Afternoon game drive.

Dinner & overnight at the camp.

Day 2

Depart after breakfast to Mount Kenya Safari Club. This famous retreat exudes quiet elegance amidst the dramatic backdrop of Mt. Kenya, founded in 1959 by the late film star, William Holden.  Engage in club activities. Dinner & overnight at the club.

Day 3

Depart for Sarova Lion Hill Lodge in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is rich with birdlife and is world famous for millions of flamingos, both black and white rhinos among other animals. Afternoon game drive. Dinner & overnight at the lodge.

Day 4

Depart after breakfast for Mara Serena Lodge in Masai Mara National Park where the big five and all other animals can be spotted.  Rest and afternoon game drive. Dinner & overnight at the Camp.

Day 5

Whole day at Ashnil Mara Camp with 3 game drives in Masai Mara National Park. Breakfast, lunch, dinner &overnight at the Camp.

Day 6

Depart for Nairobi after breakfast for your return flight.

Nakuru National Park is located in the Rift Valley 1750 meters above sea level, Lake Nakuru is known as an ornithological paradise by birdwatchers because the lake is world famous as the location of the greatest bird spectacle on earth which boasts any where between one and two million lesser and greater pink flamingos that feed on the abundant algae thriving in the lakes warm waters. It is one of the few parks that have been specifically established (Gazetted) for the protection of birds specifically flamingos,

more than 450 species of birds have been recorded here Highlights Close encounter with wildlife Comprehensive tour by bus/coach Get up-close to native wildlife What You Can Expect You are picked from your hotel at 7am and we shall drive through the floor of the Great Rift Valley from Nairobi,

while stopping on the way for curios and to admire and marvel at the breath taking views of the escarpment along the way. You proceed to arrive for your day game drive round this beautiful ornithological spectacle of the "pink” Lake Nakuru. The lake supports millions of pink flamingos hence dubbed the "pink of Lake Nakuru among the 56 different species of animal including big cats, the black manned Lion, the Cheetah and the leopard among other big wildlife such as the White Rhino & the buffalo. At 1330hrs, you take your lunch at the Sarova Lion Hill Game lodge which overlooks this great lake. Thereafter at 1500hrs you depart for Nairobi arriving at about 6pm.

Masai Mara / Lake Nakuru / Amboseli .

Day 1. Masai Mara Game Reserve
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through the floor of the rift valley climbing the western rim and cross the loita plains to arrive Mara in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive inside the park. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge / Similar.

Day 2. Masai Mara
Breakfast and leave with picnic lunches for a full day game drive inside the Park. Search for Wild game black manned lion for which Mara is famous for, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, leopard, grants gazelle are quite common, even the rare rhino might come out of the thicket for you, hyenas are plentiful, Extend your drive to the hippo point . Between meals there is optional visit to the maasai villages for an insight to their culture if clients so wish. Meals and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge / Similar.

Day 3. Lake Nakuru National Park;
Breakfast and drive to arriving Lake Nakuru in time for lunch, afternoon game drive at the Pink lake referred so for it's thousands of pink flamingos and other birdlife-it's a Bird watchers paradise. It has a surprisingly number of animals, all the "big five" except the elephant can be seen here, Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge / Similar.

Day 4. Amboseli National Park.
Breakfast and depart for Amboseli stopping for en route lunch at Nairobi and proceed to Amboseli at the foot hills of the snow-capped mount Kilimanjaro, Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge / Similar.

Day 5. Amboseli.
Breakfast . Leave with picnic lunch boxes and proceed for a full day of game drive inside the park. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge / Similar.

Day 6. Nairobi.
Breakfast and depart for Nairobi arriving late afternoon.

End of Trip.
