Tour Description

Half Day Tour - Chinese Heritage Trail

The ethnic Chinese make up about 74% of Singapore's population, with their ancestors coming from various provinces mainly in southern China. Chinatown in Singapore is where the Chinese first settled in the past, and yet today, it is still a lively and colourful place that maintains much of its traditional character.

This 2 and a half hour walking tour brings you on a exploration into the touch-points in the life of early Chinese settlers as well as taking a peek into how modernity has found its way into Chinese practices.

Some of the places visited include:

  • one of the oldest Chinese temple in Singapore
  • unique shophouses and the businesses located in them
  • a wet market and food centre
  • a traditional chinese medical store

As this is a walking tour and not all sites are handicap-accessible, please be prepared to walk a fair bit and please advise during booking if you need any special assistance.

Tour price of US$65 is for a minimum of 1 person to a maximum of 3 persons, thereafter, each additional person will be charged at US$15.

Pick-up at hotel or any arranged location within Singapore. Drop off not included. Tour ends in Chinatown.
