About this place

Cheung Chau (Chinese: 長洲, lit. "Long Island") is a small island about 10 km southwest of Hong Kong Island. It can be reached by ferry from Central Ferry Piers, and from Peng Chau/Mui Wo by the inter-islands ferry service. Cheung Chau still has a large operational fishing fleet.

This densely populated island is home to about 23,000 people. It is also a popular tourist destination, where people go for the beaches, a walk through nature, and for the seafood restaurants that line the seashore.

The Island is small enough that you can essentially walk around it in a day. The Northern part of the Island has the best scenery.
