Tai O fishing village
About this place
Also known as the "Venice of Hong Kong", Tai O is a popular tourist destination for foreigner visitors and locals alike. One of the main features of Tai O are the pang uks, a kind of stilt house, built right over the waterway.
A rope bridge (hand-pulled ferry) tended by local women used to be quite popular, but it has been replaced with a more practical steel pedestrian bridge in 1996.
The Chinese Pink Dolphin lives in the waters off Tai O, and tourists can go on a short boat trip to watch these animals out in the sea.

Re: Tai O fishing village
A fishing village built on stilts on the tidal shores of Lantau island. Looks like time has stood still. You will in love with the locals' relaxed and easy life style there.
