Fireworks

Nowadays almost every country sets off fireworks on important festivals. This traditionally ceremonial entertainment comes from China. China’s earliest fireworks came into existence in the Sui Dynasty. They fell into two categories. One is wire firework: metal wires in various shapes are coated with gunpowder and produce amazing scenes one ignited. The other is tube firework: the gunpowder is put into a paper tube, which spurts out colorful flames after being lighted. Although it is not rare to see fireworks display in other countries, the ones in China during the Chinese New Year are allegedly the most dazzling and splendid.
