Dragon Dance and Lion Dance

Dragon Dance and Lion Dance and traditional Chinese folk performances mostly found in Chinese New Year Celebrations. Decorated in red and yellow, the “dragons” and “lions” add much to the joyous festive air. Generally speaking, each lion is acted by one or two actors and each dragon by a troupe of 6-10 people. Lion dance requires techniques of martial arts on the part of individual performers; dragon dance focuses more on the collaboration among team members.
