Chinese angelica (Dang Gui)

Angelica is a common Chinese medicinal herb growing profusely in Shaanxi, Gansu, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou and other provinces. The part for medical use is the root of angelica plants. It’s manually dried and appears crimson in colour. It’s a mildly warming herb, often used in combination with other herbs to treat spleen deficiency. It strengthens blood circulation and speeds up tissue repair. It’s widely used to treat gynecological ailments, fatigue, anemia and high blood pressure.
