it coming from a local ancient story passed down thousand years:A love story between a woodman and a fairy fox. With an investment of 120 million Yuan and a cast of 530, the wonderful drama has attracted bout 150,000 travelers from home and abroad since its debut performance.
Known as the world’s first real-scene musical drama with the high mountains and deep valleys as the stage background, Tianmen Fox Fairy was put on at the foot of Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie in September, 2009. the drama integrates the elements of folk music and modern art. As the story progresses, you will find settings everywhere from the foot of the hill to the peak, be it spotlight, stage for the chorus, background houses…everything.
As a tour guide of Zhangjiajie, am very proud of this show.Not only this opera can shock every tourists with visible modern elements,but also show the world our local Tujia people's precious culture things: living , singing, construction. 2.This show starts from 20:00 to 21:40.No matter it is clear or regular rain,except heavy rain.Staff gonna give every tourist a raincoat for free.In cold days of winter, you can rent a peice of cotton-padded cloth(10 CNY)
3.if you want to go there you can take a taxi or buses of No 10,4,5,6(1CNY) from down town area to Tianmen moutain cable car station,then transfer to No 9 bus(5CNY) ,about 15 minites to be opera theatre.But it is a kind of trouble.you can join in the group.That gonna be much more convenient.
4.Don't worry about language, there are Chinese,English,Korean,and Jepanese on screen.
