Leshan Oriental Buddha Park

Travel deep into Chengdu where you will encounter the spicy Sichuan cuisine, enjoy a cup of green tea, play Mahjong with the locals and visit China’s adorable “Black and White" Pandas. Learn about the history of Buddhism and Taoism in China by walking up the holy Buddhism mountain—Mt. Emei and Leshan Giant Buddha, as well as the holy Taoist Qingcheng Mountain. All these elements have helped shape Sichuan as it is today, and account for the unique laid-back lifestyle of the locals.

Day-By-day Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Chengdu
On arrival, you will be welcomed by a driver who will transfer you to your hotel for check-in. In the evening you will attend a traditional Sichuanese opera show.

Day 2 Chengdu
This morning we will have a city tour to learn about the Taoism philosophy at the Qingyang Temple. Afterwards we will go to People’s Park to view the locals practicing Taichi and playing Mahjong, and you will have a chance to learn play Mahjong and sip a cup of green tea at a traditional elegant tea house.
In the afternoon, you will be driven to visit the seasonal flowers at Sansheng Village and take a short walk around the wetland park and have a glimpse at the Landing Art District.
A Sichuanese dinner will be arranged in the village in the evening.

Day 3 Leshan Giant Buddha to Mt. Emei
En route to Mt. Emei we will stop to visit the Leshan Giant Buddha, which is the largest single cliff Buddha Statue in China. First we will walk to the top of the hill to closely observe the Buddha Statue, and then we still have a chance to take the boat to take photos of it on the river.
After our tour of the Leshan Giant Buddha, we will continue to drive until we reach the bottom of Mt. Emei, and if there is enough time, we will visit the Baoguo Temple.

Day 4 Mt. Emei Secret Walking Trail
Today we will have a secret walking tour since this trail is only popular among the local hikers.
We will drive through the countryside and mountainside villages to arrive at our starting point of the hike.We will follow our local guide to hike Emei Mountain's local trails to the Ten Thousand Buddha Summit, which is about 4-6 hours hike, and enjoy sunset from the peak.

Day 5 Mt. Emei to Mt. Qingcheng
Early in the morning we shall take the shuttle bus to Wannian Temple, and will follow the well paved stone steps up to Qingyingge, where we will have a chance to see the famous aborigines Emei Monkeys.
After that we will descend to the bottom of Mt. Emei,and take the car to Mt. Qingcheng.

Day 6 Mt. Qingcheng to Chengdu
This morning we enjoy the fresh air in the virgin forest by walking up to Mt. Qingcheng.
In the afternoon,we will visit the panda base nearby to see the great black and white Pandas. Then return by car to Chengdu and drop you off at your hotel.
