Xinmi Xianya

    Xinmi Xianya, the county government agency, is located in the middle of the old urban area of Xinmi City, and Xinmi is affiliated with Zhengzhou, it stands at the southeastern area of Zhengzhou City.    

    Xinmi Xianya is the historic site under the protection of Henan province, it was firstly established at  AD-616(20 years after the foundation of Sui Dynasty), it has a long and deep history of more than 1400 years.     

    The architectural complex of Xinmi Xianya is 220M long from south to north, and 110 wide from east to west, and it covers a land of approximately 25,000 square meters.    

    From the gate at the south to the back garden at the north, we can see in sequence: entrance screen(a screen wall facing the gate of a yard),  the first door, the second door, Jieshi Fang, Yuetai, the court of law, the second hall, the thrid hall, Big fairy floor and the backyard garden, you can also see some other architectures at the flanks of these above buildings.    

    What I'd like to talk especially about is the Jail of Xinmi Xianya, the structure of the Jail is very complicated, it consists of outer jail, inner jail and women jail, and there is also a water jail and underground jail affiliated with the Jail of Xinmi Xianya, the Jail has been used more than 1400 years and is the jail which has been used for the longest time in China. Nowadays, the Jail has become a historic site.
