Huangshan Refreshing Terrace

Spring Yellow Mountains change their colour and appearance with the alternation of peaks.

The spring in Mt. Huangshan provides you a fresh and gay environment. Flowers blossom among steep cliffs and rocky crevices, of which the amazing colorful azalea is starring in gentle breeze. The singing birds haunt about the greenish pine branches occasionally with squirrels jumping across the path.

Day 1 Arrival in Tunxi - Hongcun Village (L, D)Arrive at Huangshan City in the morning. Meet our guide and drive to Yixian County where we'll visit Hongcun Village or Xidi Village a UNESCO world cultural heritage site. On the way, we could see many beautiful and lovely small villages hidden behind blooming spring flowers. We will spend the rest of the day exploring old houses that are several hundred years old; each piece of intricate wood carving or exquisite piece of furniture here is a true sample of a living antique. Keep in mind that the Oscar-awarded movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" was just filmed in Hongcun. Overnight in a exotic Hongcun Ju Shantang Residence Villa(4 star country villa).

Day 2 Hongcun - Huangshan (B, L)After breakfast, we'll be driving for about one hour and twenty minutes to reach the foothill of Huangshan and then to hike up or take the Yungu Cable Car up mountain. Sightsee the Fairy Maiden Peak, Beginning-to-believe Peak, Lion Peak, Stone Monkey Gazing Over the Sea of Clouds. In the afternoon, we will visit the Purple Cloud Peak and part of the most spectacular Grand Canyon of the West Sea(optional because it's tough and hard and sometimes it's open to the tourists if meet the bad weather). Stay in Beihai Hotel (4 star)

Day 3 Huangshan (B, L, D)Watch the sunrise in the early morning. After breakfast, you will be walking for about 3.5 hours from the eastern steps to the western steps of Huangshan. On the way, you would enjoy numerous breath-taking scenery, including the Flying-over Rock, Bright Summit, etc., and then in the afternoon cable-car down to the downtown of Huangshan-Tunxi. Stay in Xinan Country Villa(5 star).

Day 4 Tunxi-Airport/Railway Station/Bus Station (B, L, D)After morning buffet breakfast, take you to Tunxi ancient street with a history of more than 800 years dates from Song Dynasty. There you could see some folk performance, taste lots of local snacks, and buy some really nice bargain souvenirs. We'll have some special local lunch together on that street, and then driving to any departure place you ever want.

End the joyful trip.

Day 1 Arrive in Tunxi (downtown of Huangshan City) Upon your arrival, you'll be met by our guide and transferred to you hotel.

Day 2 Tunxi--Huangshan Scenic Area (B, L, D) We take a bus ride to Mt. Huangshan Scenic Area and take the Yuping Cable-car up the Mountain from the western side. A three-and-half-hour hike will take you to sightsee the fantastic and unforgettable views, including the Jade Screen Peak, Welcoming-guest Pine Tree, Lotus Peak, Turtle Peak, Heavenly Sea Pavilion, Bright Top Peak, the Flying-over Rock, the Cloud-dispelling Pavilion and Grand Canyon of the West Sea. Overnight up mountain

Day 3 Huangshan Scenic Area--Yixian County--Tunxi Watch the sunrise in the early morning. Sightsee the Lion's Peak where the "Stone Monkey" is just perched on a peak. You will also do the Beginning-to-believe Peak before descending the Mountain by Yungu Cable-car on the eastern steps. A bus ride to Yixian County--a place praised as the Eden's Garden on earth. You will visit two fantastic villages of Hongcun and Nanping. They are regarded by many western scholars and experts as a living museum of Chinese traditional residential houses. The Oscar-awarded movie "Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon" was just filmed in Hongcun Village while "Judou", another famous movie directed by Zhang Yimou and starred by Gong Li, was produced in Nanping Village. Back to Tunxi (downtown) in the later afternoon.

Day 4 Tunxi--Shexian--Tunxi Today, we'll spend time visiting Shexian, a county well known for its long history and rich cultural legacy. There you can see the unique Xuguo Archway with eight pillars and splendid craftsmanship, Doushan Street which is a small zigzag alley in the downtown, Tangmo Water Village and Tangyue Archway Complex - a group of 7 arches built in the Ming and Qing dynasties and erecting in order of loyalty, filial piety, chastity and righteousness. The Complex is the only one found in China now. Back to Tunxi in the afternoon. After dinner, we can arrange for you attendance at the attractive performance of local Huangmei Opera if it is available for the day. However, there is a fee you need to pay. Overnight in the downtown.

Day 5 City tour--Departure After breakfast, we'll take a leisure trip to the Old Street, the best-preserved ancient street in China built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was originally the center of the old town section. We'll pay a visit to Wancui Mansion--a private museum with a lot of valuables; the unique Hukaiwen Ink Stick Factory where inkstick, one of the Four Treasures of Study for ancient scholars, is produced; as well as Huangshan Municipal Museum, which collects many precious cultural and historical relics, before departure in the afternoon or evening.

 Day 1: Arrive in Huangshan City (downtown Tunxi) before 14:00 and then transfer to car ride (90KM/1.5 hours) to Mt.Huangshan. Hike and sight-see over Begin-to-believe Peak, Lion Peak and West-sea Grand Canyon. Stay at a 4-star hotel in peak area.

Day 2: Weather permitting,watch the sunrise. Go on hiking and sight-seeing along Fly-over Rock, tBright Summit, Giant-fish Peak, Lotus Peak, Guest-greeting Pine, Heavenly CapitalPeak, etc. Stay at a 4-star hotel in hot-spring area of Mt.Huangshan or travel back to the downtown Tunxi and visit the old street in the evening and taste the amazing Hui cuisine and stay in 4-star hotel in Tunxi.

Day 3: Go to Yixian County to visit the ancient villages and residences, Hongcun. Come back to Tunxi to visit Ink-stick Workshop and CityMuseum before departure.
