Traditional Chinese Painting

Traditional chinese painting is painted on the Xuan Paper with chinese brush.  It's regarded as one of the " Three quintessence of chinese culture". The other two quintessences are Traditional chinese medicine and Peking Opera.

By the content, traditional chinese painting can be classified into three types, figure painting, landscape painting and flowers and birds painting.

By the styles of brushwork, it can be categorized into" Gong bi"( Realistic painting characterized by fine brushwork and close attention to details) and " Xie yi '(Freehand brushwork to catch the spirit of the object and expressing the author's mood and impression ).

A finished traditional chinese art work, except the painting , the inscription, poem and stamp are also important on the side of the painting . Therefore, Traditional chinese painting is an art form combining poem, calligraphy, painting and stamp.

Its artistic value and national features have won recognition of the people all over the world.
