Huanghuacheng Great Wall

Be prepared to hike and climb to reach the best parts but it's worth the effort.

• Pick up from your hotel lobby at 9:30am.

• Depending of the location of your hotel and north, out of Beijing city we start with a small hutong tour before heading to the Countryside.

• On our way, after 30 min of motorway and 30 min of nice Countryside and hilly roads, we make a first stop at the Silver Mountains Pagodas. This is not on most tourist maps but is an amazing cultural and historic site,that is simply amazing for its stunning beauty.

• After another 45 min ride in the mountains we arrive at the foot of the Huanghuacheng Great Wall. We then start the climb that takes about 45 min.

• On the top we have a Quality French picnic with the magnificent view of the Great Wall all around. There are no tourist there so it's just relaxing time.

• After an hour or so we start the descent on the other side of the wall for about 30 m.

• A few drinks and we ride again back to Beijing. We should arrive at the beijing hotel by 7:00am

Our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in the early morning at 8:30am. Get to Huanghuacheng Great Wall around 10:00am. Huanghuacheng (literally meaning "Yellow Flower City") Great Wall, is one of the most ruined sections of the wall in Beijing.

Huanghuacheng Great Wall:

Huanghuacheng Great Wall, about 60 km north of downtown Beijing, is one of the most ruined sections of the wall in Beijing. It has become popular with hikers in recent years. This section of the great wall is about 1000 meters long and connecting Juyongguan Pass Great Wall and Badaling Great Wall in the west and Jiankou Great Wall and Mutianuyu Great Wall in the east. Now it is a quite challenge to climb the wall since it has no stone steps or no smooth path found at other sections of Great Wall in Beijing. There is a lake and a reservoir near the wall. The reservoir is called Huanghuacheng Reservoir. The lake is called Jintang lake.

After hiking at the Great Wall(2 hours), have a rest and lunch will be Chinese food. Visit The Hongluo Temple in the afternoon, on the way go back to the hotel.

Hongluo Temple:

Hongluo Temple is 4 kilometers away from north Huairou District of Beijing . It is covers an area of 8 square kilometers and integrates the natural landscape with manmade features. First built in the fourth year of Xiankang during East Jin Dynasty, Hongluo Temple was renovated during Tang Dynasty .Hongluo Temple is the source region of Buddhism in north China, and it is also regarded as the No. 1 ancient temple in Northern China. It is said that Hongluo Temple in north China is as the Putuo Temple in south China. Three most prominent scenic areas of the temple complex are called Imperial Bamboo , Male and Female Gingko , and Pines Entangled with Chinese Wisteria .

Pick up from your hotel around 8:00am. Transfer to Huanghuacheng Underwater Great Wall by car(approximate travelling time:2hours) ,hiking at the great wall takes about 2hours, lunch in a special characteristic restaurant.
