Included on UNESCO's World Cultural & Natural Heritage List in 2010, it is the cradle of the Chinese Zen Buddhism and the Shaolin Martial Arts such as Shaolin Cudgel. One can see wild flowers and pines on the mountain. With birds singing and a brook spattering, a beautiful scene full of life and vitality is revealed to the visitors.

Pick up from your hotel or train station in Zhengzhou.
First , drive to Shaolin Temple.It takes about 1.5 hour by expressway.
Shaolin Temple was established in 495AD by Emperor Xiaowen in Beiwei Dynasty for the purpose of housing the famous Indian monk, Batuo, the ancient capital for spreading Buddhism at that period.
After Shaolin Temple,take lunch at KFC or Macdonald near the Shaolin Temple.
Then drive to longmen Grottoes,located in Luoyang,about 80Km takes 1.5 hour.
It is one of the three most valuable Buddhist cave and rock carvings in China. The grottoes
were first carved during the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534), when the rulers relocated
their capital from Datong to Luoyang at the end of the 5th century.
After longmen Grottoes,drive U to train station or hotel in Luoyang or Zhengzhou.
